It's the sign of a great player that you can have an off day and still be a crucial part in your yes victory.

I don't think Bruno played particularly well, bit he was in the right place twice and scored both times.
What game were you watching?

Bruno was on beast mode, he could have had a hatrick of assists, never stopped pressing and scored 2 crucial goals to settle the match which let us score 2 more to all but settle the tie

I remember saying in the transfer thread when he was linked to us that he wasn't good enough and not worth the money. :wenger::D

He’s like a cross between Rooney and Suarez. Born winner with the technical ability to back it up.

Best all round game in a while: shooting boots on with 2 great goals, didn't force or rush anything, and I don't actually remember him giving the ball away - that's ridiculous considering how much of a risk taker he is

Sensational performance, especially first half. Created huge chance that Rashford wasted by shooting straight at the keeper and a similar opportunity for Dan James in the 2nd half. Scored twice. Had a header cleared off the line after Rashford's shot was saved.

Superb tonight, should have an assist too.

Pushing the players to celebrate with the subs just shows how much of a leader is he. Brining the team together when he can, he's the real captain.

Would he be considered for Ballon d'or? We are not in CL but he could still win EL and Euros this year.

Sometimes, I feel like people expect Bruno to be this floating playmaker, stringing cute, short passes and gliding around the pitch. Like a prime David Silva. But, Bruno is not such a player and never will be. He is rarely looking to occupy positions where he can come towards a player, receive the ball and then pass it on and keep moving. Rather he is always looking to move away from the player with the ball and into holes around the penalty area where he can receive the ball and send a killer pass or have a shot right away. Maybe people want for him to be able to do both but I don't think that is ever coming to pass. Who cares anyway if he keeps putting up the numbers he is.

Yeah I loved that. Just a natural leader.

If only we had a defender with his brain, drive and passion we would be top 4 in the world.

I wonder what his market value is now after the 12 months he's just had.

Welcome to his entire career with us. It's the nature of his game to lose the ball a lot and make mistakes, but it almost always leads to a goal or two by the time the game is over.

Just a pity he’s not getting any penalties to inflate his stats.
Nobody actually thinks that way. No one looks at Kane for example and says how many were pens or Ruud when he took them. No one asked when Ronaldo scored 42 goals how many were pens. Because at the end of the day they all count 1

Except that post is utter shite. It's becoming a tradition to post something like that after every game whether he actually plays well or not. Bruno was legitimately excellent in all facets of the game today. Linked up supremely, made good runs, worked tirelessly both ways, scored two off two chances and could (should) have had three assists off excellent passes. What mistakes are you talking about?

Shudder to jinx it, let's hope he doesn't go the way of players fading away after a blistering start at United. He is simply class.

I agree. I’d say he usually does give the ball away regularly and does things that you have no idea what he was even attempting....Tonight though he was brilliant. Even without the goals.

The position he plays in, we should not have much of a problem with someone who gives the ball away but also creates (or scores) the most chances. Sanchez at arsenal had the same perceived issue though he was also usually their best player.

Not so much just a blistering start with him though. It's one thing to start good in the first month and then fade, another to have the most goals and assists in the league over the past 13 months.

It’s brilliant stats on any metric. He’s fantastic. He isn’t a midfielder though. At least not in conventional terms.
Yeah he's definitely a #10, but I'd say most comparable would be Rooney. A second striker, just with a shade more leaning towards midfielding/creating whereas Rooney was a shade more of a forward/scorer. Easily the most similar comparison in terms of impact, overall play style (and the same consistency) and position they tend to play.

Does anyone think he will get pissed off in a year or so if we fail to challenge or win anything ? He is carrying us since he joined and his winning mentality is that of a player under SAF. You can see he is desperate for trophies

Don't worry we will do well to keep hold of him.

“I was just thinking whether I meant to touch it to him, hopefully I get the assist for that. Bruno was a bit annoyed at me for not getting him an assist at the end but it was nice to get through at the end and score as well.”

For his second goal of the night in Italy, our top goalscorer beat the offside line by a fine margin with Daniel James in close proximity.

“I was expecting a touch from Dan to me,” said Bruno. “When he got the ball, I think it was to control it, but I will give him the assist.
