Us or Leicester? Leicester did it last season to let us back in, will they get their shit together this season?

Or will our semi final curse, extend into the top 4 race?

One of the two will definitely choke. There's not a chance Liverpool are not in the CL next season.

So what's the case with classic shit team wins CL but finishes out of the top 4 nowadays? Whether you like it or not, it has to be in minds at this point if it's a case of 4th missing out again.

We will finish 2nd comfortably. Chelsea are massively overrated and will drop more points, Leicester will choke but will still finish in top 4 and Pool will miss out.

Leicester have history for dropping from superb positions late on, so I'd wager on them.

We can't afford another poor performance tomorrow though, we need to win it, and make sure it's a 9 point gap, before we have two tough ones.

Yeah just looked it up. Certainly low chances, but it's CL Winners - Top 3 - Europa Winners - 4th it seems. Given Chelsea and Liverpool are still in the CL and Spurs/Arsenal/Leicester/Utd in the EL, all these teams should be aiming for a Top 3 at the moment, not a top 4.

It's quite irritating that Liverpool are dropping points all over the place and yet are still just 6 points behind us ffs.

2 wins in our last 7 with some of the easiest fixtures on paper in there... Not sure how anyone can be so confident.

Need a win tomorrow to take advantage of Liverpool/Chelsea results. After that our next 3 league games are.

Chelsea - A
Palace - A
City - A

As it stands at the moment if at any point we string together 2 or 3 games without a win we're in a top 4 dog fight.

If we can’t beat Newcastle handsomely after these results than feck the whole thing! As listed our next 3 games are difficult, we need the cushion to make winning them less pivotal.

Absolutely ridiculous we aren’t going into these games closer to City & further from the pack.

I'm happy that those games are away and not at home, to be honest

I think it ends with:
  1. City
  2. United
  3. Chelsea
  4. Liverpool
Leicester will choke. Chelsea will climb more.

Given games in hand for Everton, Spurs, Villa etc, Liverpool could drop as low as 9th. So even if Leicester, or Chelsea, or whoever, chokes - Liverpool will have to put together some really good form to make it back into the top-4.

There's still plenty of time for them to do that, but they need to start winning games quickly

Too many contenders to the top 4 trophy, and with our choking history, I’d say we are in the middle of it.

I think the only team that can use the word comfortably right now is Man City.

Liverpool might not come back to the top 4. They aren't just in bad form, they've been consistently underwhelming even when they were picking up points.

Don't think we'll drop out of the top 4. Our lead over Livepool is now pretty large. They have a decent shot at chasing Chelsea/Everton/whoever makes it to 4th next, or Leicester if they drop off as they did last season.

It's really difficult to predict as no-one, apart from City, are showing any consistency so, at the moment, it's about which teams stumble over the line rather than grab the top 4 positions.

The teams that have the strongest squads and the best potential of a strong run in are Liverpool, Chelsea and United. But if it carries on at this inconsistent rate, then Leicester, Everton and Tottenham all have chances.

I'd expect it to be 3 of United, Leicester, Chelsea and Liverpool. With one of Leicester and Chelsea slightly more likely to miss out if Liverpool finally get their act together?

All the top teams are playing each other in March. Only Leicester has an easy March. By April 1st we will know who is going to have a real chance for top 4. Teams as far down as 9th are only 7 points out of the top 4. There are too many fixtures about to happen that are going to have top 4 teams either moving up or down.

Thats a bold statement. Massively overrated Chelsea just 3 pts behind you

Tough fixtures to come for both sides. Apart from City, no one is looking sure

I don't think it is as simple as that. They are in a downward spiral which can't be arrested so easily. There are only about 14 games left and the window is closed. They need to put together a strong run to get back into top 4 and I just don't think their players really have the hunger for it.

Liverpool missing out on a CL place and getting knockout out soon in the CL this year sounds too good to be true.

Their focus will be on the CL
They are pretty much in the quarter finals and I can see European teams playing into their hands rather than exposing their weaknesses

It's a phrase that i don't think suits just yet, considering Liverpool still have games vs Chelsea, Arsenal, Utd & Villa to come, so, in a way it is still in their own hands.

Leicester for me is the interesting 1, considering what happened last year, & their final 3 games are vs Utd, Chelsea & Spurs. Those games I believe will go a long way to deciding top 4. A potential 9 point swing either way right at the tale end of a season would be massive.

What if somebody like Spurs or Arsenal win the EL and finish outside the top 4. Then fourth place won't count. That's if Liverpool or whoever win the CL and finish outside top 4 as well. That would be a bit of a mess. It is also why you aim for Top 3.

I honestly don't see any team choking harder than Liverpool are. I think they'll miss out.

Anyone predicting Leicester are going to stumble is not watching them. They look as confident as any team in the league bar City. They're a safer bet than we are, at the moment.

Hoping for:
1. City (well, not "hoping" per se but it's inevitable)
2. United
3. Leicester
4. Everton
