Eesh. Looks like he’ll be lucky to walk again, never mind play golf.
Hope he wasn't driving under the influence of any painkillers but accidents of this type (single vehicle, early morning) often point to a driver not being in the best shape.Having just had back surgery as well.
Hope it's not a bad one and his hospital visit is precaution given the recent surgery.
Police tweet above says 7:12 am.What time did it happen? Surely early in the morning since it's in LA?
That’s kind of true. Although seeing as we know he had to be cut from the car, has injuries to his legs and there’s a photo which shows that the bit of the vehicle where his feet would be had been fecking obliterated I’d say there’s a very good chance his legs are mangled. Which is unlikely to be compatible with an ongoing career as a sportsman.Hope he pulls through for his and his kids' sake.
You can't judge the extent of casualties from looking at the car damage, there are examples of terrible car crashes with the victim walking out fine with nothing more than a concussion. As long as he had his safety belt on and air bags deployed, he has a good chance with the safety standards of modern vehicles. Considering he's already been suffering from a back issue, this might be the end for his career though.

The front end is designed to crumple like it has. I think his feet will be fine. Prob got broken legs from the blunt impact. That’s kind of true. From the looks of it, they used the jaws of life to remove the windshield. The crumple zones in the front of the vehicle did their job and the passenger compartment looks pretty well intact. As the poster above mentioned, probably banged his legs up when the vehicle rolled down the embankment or wherever it ended up. May have got some cuts when they pulled him out from the glass as well. That’s kind of true. That looks a hell of a lot more dramatic than the usual crumple. You can’t even see the engine block. That’s never a good sign! Hope I’m wrong, obviously. It’s not a great quality photo. The front end is designed to crumple like it has. I think his feet will be fine. Prob got broken legs from the blunt impact.
I am left wondering if it came out and is the smouldering piece of rubble next to the vehicle. That looks a hell of a lot more dramatic than the usual crumple. You can’t even see the engine block. That’s never a good sign! Hope I’m wrong, obviously. It’s not a great quality photo.

Engines are now designed to detach from the firewall to prevent pushing onto the chasis. You're probably right.I am left wondering if it came out and is the smouldering piece of rubble next to the vehicle.
