James looks good and confident but still exhibits the same flaws we've seen since he joined.

United the better team in that half, the stats speak for themselves. Still 4 goals ahead with 45 minutes to go, so good so far. A few cameos off the bench would be nice.

So glad we took the cautious approach and didn’t give Diallo a chance.

C’mon ole play some of the youngsters since we’re 4-0 up. May aswell rest for the Chelsea game now.

Greenwood has regressed. Nothing wrong with admitting this.
I genuinely don’t think he has. It’s very cliche but his all round game, including crossing, passing, work rate, dribbling in tight spaces and link-up with AWB has improved. His finishing is pretty poor atm of course but one look at some videos and records at youth level, and his performances last season, and you know that can’t last. His horrific scuffed shots will turn into them hammers into the top corner again in no time.

The kids will feature. You're just salty they're not starting. You're literally complainnig for no reason.
One of them should have started this game. We have nothing to lose at 4-0. It’s an overly cautious approach.

Not much to report from that half. We're playing pretty much exactly how I'd expect at 4-0 up to be honest. They've looked like they wanted it a bit more, at least to get a result for pride.

Would like to see some youngsters get some significant minuyes in the second half.

Agreed. His all round game is better this year, but his work in the box isn’t up to his standard.

When it's a Thursday, telling us about what games you have on this week shouldn't include games next Wednesday.

He won't stay fit though, so there's no point hoping for him sadly. To put faith in him would be daft based on the evidence.
You may well be right but I can't be doing with the notion that there's no point making him first choice because he might get injured at some point in the future.

to the right, to the right.
All the subs we have in a box to the right
Thanks. It’s not viewable on my iPhone. But on the laptop it’s right there.

There’s no obvious straight sub for Bruno, but if we brought on Diallo we could bring in Greenwood to a more central position.

After all, we’re just trying get through the next 45 minutes without incident.

I didn't like the lineup tonight, but it's always a joy to watch the team play well. Apart from that brainless moment from James (matched equally by Oyarzabal) we've been comfortable. Should've had at least one goal either from Bruno or James.

My only worry is the midfield. Matic, while playing well, has looked a bit slow in some situations. It won't be a problem in this game, but if he has to start against Chelsea, I fear we'll get overrun. But that's for the weekend. Would like a clean sheet and minutes for Amad and Shoretire in the second half.

Need to take Matic off at half-time. Depending on how McT and VDB are on the weekend, looks like he'll be starting against Chelsea. Good chance to see Galbraith too.

Missed first 25 mins, but since then what I've seen been very good, James looks ok again, should have scored that header. Comfy so far let's see who he brings on in 2nd . Fred should come off I think the refs got it in for him so he wont hesitate to give him 2nd yellow. Amad on I would guess on about 60 mins let's see.

Making him first choice, as in not bothering to further invest and instead hope Bailly stays fit would be mad though, wouldn't it.

Lucky with the penalty, a little bit of nativity there from James. Otherwise decent first half. I expect to see some changes at the start of the 2nd half.
