I'm not convinced their numbers make sense as a percentage of Xbox live users. I'm on Game Pass primarily because it allows me to play MS games on a PC without buying an Xbox so saves me money on getting the console. That's a good thing for them as they have got me on-board when previously I wouldn't be but if there's a high number of PC users you can't use the subscription figure as any kind of guide to the percentage of Xbox users who are using it.
Good article though and the amount of money through subscription if everyone starts paying full amount eventually once the £1 deals have stopped are impressive.

I've had several PlayStation and Xbox controllers and this is the first time I recall having drift... its feckin annoying.
No drift but my Series X controller left analog starting to get a little stiff.

It’s a sensationalist article. A small amount of controllers will get drift. People should look after their stuff better like I do mine.
If MS can release a console with a 54% failure rate then I think Sony will be fine.

no matter what you do, wear and tear happens. Keep your car perfect and serviced correctly, shit still falls off.
not just Sony - but all controllers. No hiding from the expected longevity of joystick either - figures posted by part manufacturers show a controllers life is quite short regardless of how you keep them - as fatigue and wear and tear happens naturally.
no harm Sony and others get heavy flack now. Hopefully the proper next generation controllers get rid of shitty vibrations and make a solid controller.

Where are people actually buying them from? I got my PS4 years ago from Argos and neither them nor amazon have any stock. I'm in no desperate rush but I know a fair few people who just can't get one and who (rightly) refuse to buy from scalpers .
