He'd walk straight into our first team, and be our best player, that's how far behind we are in terms of quality players.
Pogba is a far better player. Both are a little lazy by times and greedy by others but lets not pretend Mahrez is in PP's league because he's not.

Will only have him if we are buying Sancho. That would give Sancho more time to develop while having 2 quality players for our right. AWB would be the RB, with both attackers compensating his lack of attacking prowesses. Our right would be sorted for the next decade.

Good player who does not fit the system at City but that does not make him a bad player. Would improve United instantly and provide some Magic on the wing which they have not had since Nani.

I doubt Sancho will want to sacrifice his guaranteed starting position for a CL club to go to a unstable possible EL team to rotate with Mahrez.

Liked him at Leicester but City took a punt and he has basically failed, which a lot of top clubs predicted with him if I remember correctly, something about scouting reports where his mentality was in question. So, with that in mind he should be the absolute last thing we should aim for.

Plays for City. Would cost as much as they paid, 50m or so. Big wages. Question about mentality. No leader. Makes another transfer like Sancho or similar more unlikely. Nah.
3 of the top 6 clubs haven't won anything significant in 6 years. Hard to take any of their opinions seriously.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
Meh, we've got enough players who don't really care about the cause. He's been every bit as ineffective as Sanchez has for us, at a lesser price of course. I don't think he's got the right mentality to make it at a big club.
To be fair, our targets for coming seasons are obviously very different to City's.

He's a good player for how Ole plays I think.

That PL winning Foxes season is what I think people should expect from Ole at his best (I enjoyed that team btw).

Players like Mahrez have proven they can play on the break and are happy to do so.

I think he'd do well here for where we're at right now.

Possibly when you put it like that. Let's see of they fancy that swap deal, Sanchez for Mahrez

Thought this was worth a bump. Pep getting more than a tune out of him now.
Good bump, he’s a great player.
Great on the break but especially adept at working the ball and threading needle passes in small spaces - very effective against tightly packed defences.

his first touch is unbelievable, he's frustrating as feck though, should really do more with the ability he has.

He's brilliant. LvG had a chance to sign him when he was on strike at Leicester but didn't. If Amad turns out anything like him, we'll have a great player for the next decade or so

He's a class player - no doot aboot it - but it still always feels like he could have done more for himself by not moving to City. I have nothing to back this up but I'm certain he could have been Bale/Hazard levels of brilliant if he'd gone somewhere where he was absolutely guaranteed to start every week.

Not that I'm sure he cares with the money he's on, the team he plays for, the goals he scores and the trophies he's won.

Edit - Apparently played 50 games for city last year. Why does it feel like he's comes off the bench 7 times out of 10?

Must be frustrating playing in the same team as him with how selfish he can be but putting that aside his first touch on any sort of ball to him has to be up there as one of the best in the world. The ball just sticks to his foot.

Genuine question - Him or Mane if you could choose one?
depends on the need of the team. If you want a powerful and pacey winger that's Mane. For a inside forward that can dribble in tight space, unlock tight defense and create chance, that's Mahrez. I will pick Mahrez.

you can compare with Mane in that website, if you compare the stats with KDB you can see KDB is on another level.

His 2015/16 season was incredible, I find myself looking up clips every once in a while.

Was it LVG or Jose that didn't want him? I think we tried to get him on the cheap. It didn't work out.
Tried to get him on the cheap when he just won the league and PFA Players' Player of the Year. No wonder it didn't work out.

The obsession with wide players sticking wide at the beginning of play in Peps system limits him somewhat but he's still a great player non the less.
