the fact we started with two holding midfielders against Palace is inexcusable. i thought i heard donny was on the bench and i am curious why he wasnt brought on. we keep losin creativity by having bruno solely at no. 10. could have easily had Matic or Fred behind donny and bruno. but we bring on McT to basically play as a 9.

Job done. We came here with the intention of not losing, and we executed that plan to perfection. Absolutely wonderful stuff. Apart from a couple of chances, we nullified Palace and kept Benteke, Ayew and Townsend quiet. Thank god Palace didn't have Zaha available for selection.

Fantastic to see Rashford sulking, Greenwood losing the ball, Bruno being invisible, Fred giving away fouls, James missing a header, Matic slowing down our play, and Maguire giving the ball away.

Since the turn of the year barring 2-3 games we have been pretty damn poor overall.

Tonight was lacking in every department, I don't even know where to start with that performance in the slightest.

You’re clutching at straws thinking that’s a reason we’re shite right now. Every team has injuries, most are a little fatigued. No excuse for poor passing and giving the ball
Away or just plain safe football.
Doesn’t matter about top 4, Ole is not the man to take us forward. He’s done well but it’s limited
Yes, I suppose I am trying to put a positive spin where there is none. Awful awful performance.

Ole has done a successful job of running our two main players into the ground recently in Marcus and Bruno. Sooner or later they were never going to continually bail him out.

In 58 years of watching United, I cannot remember watching a worse game than that. We were absolutely dire offensively. Couldn't pass, no movement, painfully predictable, few attempts on goal. Not helped by Marriner following the PL refs custom of allowing the opposition to break up our play, in the knowledge they won't be penalised for it.

No drive to win that game. That's what hurts the most. I know Matic is past it. I know Fred isn't accurate. I know AWB isn't good technically. I know Bruno gives the ball away too often. I know Rashford makes bad decisions. I know we have zero RW. The weaknesses in the team is for all to see.

But the team didn't look like they wanted the win. They didn't want to give 100%. So, so sloppy with the ball. Whether that's tiredness or motivation I don't know. The coaching staff has to resolve this issue. Use the young lads if needed, at least they'll try. We're lucky that Leicester are just as bad as us atm.

I'll give Henderson and Shaw's first half performance a shout. But other than that, this is the most depressed I've been about United in a long time.

At this point I think I’d genuinely rather get beaten by a better team than to watch one of these 10 games a season where the opposition come for a draw and defend from minute one and we struggle to barely even create a chance.

This is sarcasm. I can tell. Your eyebrow moved.

They were obviously going to park the bus so why on earth are we playing with 2 DMs, just utter pony and negative safety first tactics. The fact that shaw was out most creative outlet just about sums it up.

Maybe they are knackered? Its the only excuse that is acceptable for that performance.

Looked clueless and bereft of ideas. Leicester dropped points, Liverpool and/or Chelsea will drop points tomorrow so it was a golden opportunity to start putting daylight between 2nd and the rest. Instead we now have to go to the Etihad and most likely close the gap back towards 5th. If Liverpool pip is to 4th we may close this site down.

How anyone can look at performances like that and say that we're heading in the right direction is truly beyond me. All we are is a team that has a couple players capable of producing a moment of magic to get us a result, including arguably the most productive player in world football over the past year, and when this happens we go on purple patches that flatter us. If you actually watch what we put out on the field week by week, it's clear that our results aren't sustainable, and we aren't actually going anywhere meaningful at all.
2 years on, we are still a shambles. No rhythm, no style, no philosophy, no plan b. I could go om for a while. Ole needs to go.

Is no Utd players capable of making run? Why there is zero ball over the top. Why? Why not throw Maguire up there to score in the last 5 min left Matic as cb? Ole is happy with a damn draw, that's the reason. Pathetic manager! Please step aside, you are out of your depth.

That... might have been one of the worst games of football ever? United looked like a coasting, mid-table team at the end of the season with nothing to play for. At this rate they'll be lucky to get top four.

That was utter dog poo - forwards walking - no width- no urgency - no tempo - no care on the ball - no penetration- no desire to be the game winner - no surprise - let’s not forget how many times we played equally as badly and got out of jail with fresher legs earlier in the season - I hate to say it as he provided me with one of the great moments of my life but Ole is not the coach to take us back to where we want to be - he’s invested too much in these non-entities and they are either not motivated nor care less about what he is telling them on the training pitch. Sad times again.

We've been papering over the cracks and flattering to deceive for a while. Remember the Burnley and Fulham games? Now we don't have Pogba and Bruno producing magic out of nothing, we're all just stood round waiting for something to happen. We're not a team, we're 11 players on a field.

Thought Shaw was good. Rashford has to score.
I'm never confident when this guy is in a scoring position. Always praying he can score instead of knowing he'll be clinical enough to put the chance away.

Sammy McIlroy saying the tempo was all wrong, it rarely has been all season. This is the culmination of lots of bad games.

Someone does something good -> Individual Brilliance.

Someone fails at being able to control/pass a ball -> Poor Coaching From Ole.

Players should be absolutely ashamed at that performance, to be honest. Difficult conditions, against a disgustingly negative Palace (how many times did the commentators mention how amazing Roy is at drilling 'shape'? Call a spade a spade, that's a fecking double decker they just parked at home) but wow; SO many misplaced passes, poor touches, and losing 50/50's.

Awful, awful from the players - Shaw the only one who came out of that with any technical credibility for me (Hendo showing class and defence were OK defending the few bits Palace strung together)
Tend to agree. But I would blame Ole for playing two holding midfielders all game. Having seen how deep they were playing, make a change. Also keeping Rashford on was a farce, he was a 0/10 performance tonight. The players were bad but make a difference, make a change. He puts all the responsibility on the players and I don’t think that’s right.

Slow Death

Fergie used to try and get the team to be in the hunt at Christmas, then by March/April would be in full stride. We are burning out and the end isn't even in sight. We have thrown this away all by ourselves. Top of the league on the 12th Jan. Only 3 wins since.

United and Fred were utterly pathetic tonight. Need a goal, so the P.E. Teacher brings on McTominay. Palace playing with a low block, so the idiot brings on James. fecking embarrassing. OGS seems happy we didn't lose... How United have fallen. This last few games have somehow been worse than the LVG era.

I literally get zero joy from watching these clowns now. And the board are happy so long as we get top 4... fecking arsenal mentality.

Missed the game but sounds like it was a lucky escape in doing so. Is it worth watching back or save myself the chore.

They can't be arsed.. they know the league is lost... This group is one of the most mentally weak i've ever seen play for us.. They get away with it week in week out because they know us supporters aren't there to hold them accountable..

I have seen worse United performances.
But that was unacceptable.
No pride, no fight, no passion for the shirt.
Not all Olé's fault.
But he has to go.
