Not sure what to expect, Lazio play 3-5-2 or variant with 3 in midfield Luis Alberto, Milinkovic Savic and Lucas Leiva. Maybe he will be back up/rotational player.

Bit of a nothing player really. Will be surprised if he does well.

A midfield of those 3, particularly with the form Luis Alberto and Savic have been in, will make it difficult for Andreas to walk into the first 11. Leiva is a completely different type of player so not competing for his spot. Savic and Alberto are technically superior. He should get more game time however and Lazio are in the champs league so not a bad move by any means.

If Lucas Leiva can get in their team then Pereira can get some games. He's not that bad!

That's irrelevant, Leiva is the glue that holds the team together. Savic and Alberto are not, it's those two Andreas will be up against and he will lose...

How's he getting on? No idea why they agreed to let him go to Lazio, he's never going to get enough game time.

Not surprising.

I dont think many thought he would go and make enough impact for them to trigger the release. It was quoted as quite high correct, like 20 million?

I think his level is about championship maybe a smaller league like Belgium / Portugal.

Nah he can be a starter for a premier league side, just not top half. Which is fine. Lazio was a tough ask considering they're a champions league side.

I think he could play lower Premiership.

Looking at the table right now the bottom half is

City - No chance
Leeds
Newcastle
Arsenal - No chance
Palace
Brighton
Fulham
West brom
Burnley
Sheff United

Leeds, I think Harrison and Raphinha are better.
Newcastle - ASM, Frasier, Almiron, Richie all better.
Palace - Zaha, Townsend, Eze all better, maybe 4th or 5th choice?
Brighton - Trossard, Gross, March, MacAllister, Jananibasch all better
Fulham - Lookman is a toss up but he has higher upside, Caveliro same. So there is one side yes.
West Brom - Pereira, Diangana, so bench option for them.
Burnley - Mcneil, Guomudsoon, better, Brady close so bench maybe.
Sheff United - In the 532 he isnt getting in ahead of berg, Fleck Norwood, Lundstrum and Ampadu maybe.

So for me maybe he makes the squad for 3 sides. I guess we will see what happens this summer since Lazio is clearly above his level as well. Guess it will come down to does he want to be a squad player at a lower side in a big 5 league or a key player in a smaller league.

Another stupid move from United allowing him to join a team in the CL, I'm not convinced he's good enough to play for a team towards the bottom of the premier league.

Absolute dog shite, on the wage he's more than likely getting at United nobody will have him because he's lower end of the leagues standard not Lazio standard.

Another loan will be the way they go on this one.

Sure wasn't the agreed purchase price £25 million? United were never getting that kind of money for him.

Fans criticise the club far too often.

“State of this club” really grips my shit.

I think the agreed price to buy, is a complete red herring. It meant nothing to United, as we would obviously accept £22m, or £20m, £15m... given his season.

The agreement actually protects Lazio more, if he went and had an unbelievable season (and clubs were interested in buying him at £30m+) which would be due in some part to them, then they get the benefit of that development. Fair enough.

it was always most likely that were passing their squad out with a cheap loan.

Let put it simple like this, mr top red: he shouldn't have got that (long) extension in the first place. The issue is us having him on our book for no reason.

it was pretty clear that was a general point.
Then you can't just argue that point in a long post, while sidestepping with "Didn’t once mention a contract extension." stance.

See the highlighted parts.

He’s probably going to end up at a mid level Spanish club like his mate Adnan. Very classy youth prospect that fell just short. Neither seemed to have any intensity about them at all. We are going to end up paying off at least half of his wages if we want him to leave or go on loan next season so all in all not a great contract. I assume the club are going to cash in this summer but who knows with them. Out of the two I’d much rather see Lingardinho back but we should sell them both and hopefully reinvest in anything other than dividends and horrible contracts

A nothing player who we should get rid of as soon as possible.
