Fantstic start and we could easily have won 3/4 - Nil just a shame Martial couldn't get his goal.

We now need Pogba and Cavani coming back to help finish the season strongly

Played the perfect game to beat City

If only we didn't drop points against sheffield, everton, west brom and crystal palace.
That's what hurts the most. While I enjoy beating City, it feels hollow like it did when Jose was managing us, as we are still going to watch them romp home with the title.

Didn't see this performance coming, especially after Palace mid-week. That second half was great - deserved the three points.
Controlled that second half.
City put together a few good passing plays but generally we were comfortable in and out of possession
Love to see it.

Ole out in!
I can't use emojis or l.ol....what gives? Anyway that made me laugh.

Great win and great day all round.

Pity we dropped 13 points v Palace, Arsenal and Sheffield United. We could be 2 clear.

Superb result. Good performances from 6 or 7, outstanding from 2 or 3, then there was Fred.
Could have been more comfortable with some composure, but could have shipped a few at our end with some composure from them. Thoroughly enjoyable game though, and the perfect antidote to the sleep inducing shite we’ve had to endure last few games. Kick on from here and we can still have a great end to the season.

United has got the big games figured out - but HAVE to beat the bottom half teams on a regular basis.
You’re watching the wrong season, mate. You’re stuck with a copy of the 19/20 season, I think.

Brilliant. Why does Martial pull out performances like this? Just do it more often Tony.
Delighted for Henderson that he done well in his first big test.
Also, great to see James justifying his position in this squad. He deserves to be here.

fecking beautiful.

First half was classic busparking but I appreciate that we actually played some good stuff in the second. It takes guts to come out for the second half in the Etihad 1-0 up and actually play more positively than before.

Martial would have deserved that goal that he should have had. And I really appreciate the work that Fred and McTom do but this team's ceiling would be so much higher with two CMs who are actually comfortable on the ball.

Utterly fantastic win! We are so inconsistent but when we get our shit together we can beat anyone. We took most of our chances this time in a big game.

I said the players didn't look like they cared against Palace. Tonight they showed they cared. Our left side in particular ran themselves to the ground. Big props to all of the team, Shaw in particular was on a different level. Hope this makes them believe in themselves for the rest of the season and we finish on a high.

feck this team, seriously. How inconsistent can we be? We lose to teams like Sheffield United, yet we could have smashed City 5-0 without joking.

Anyways good win, hope City will have a series of bad results now.

We would be right in there if we had not dropped points against SU, WB and CP. Pity really.

Empty spaces, what are we living for?
Abandoned places, I guess we know the score, on and on
Does anybody know what we are looking for?
Another hero, another mindless crime
Behind the curtain, in the pantomime
Hold the line
Does anybody want to take it anymore?
Shaw must go on
Shaw must go on, yeah

Sums up the season

Tough choice now at GK, Henderson did nothing wrong and DDG does not make that throw to Shaw for the second goal.
I honestly don't think it's a tough choice if goalkeeping ability is the only consideration. Henderson looks really assured - we need to find out if he's up to it and he should be given the remainder of the season.

Unfortunately, De Ge is on £375k per week, which does make things a bit tricky...

Nice! Top 4 will probably be assured if Chelsea beat Everton and we beat West Ham. Now let's fight for 2nd.

- Martial played pretty well, too bad he didn't score his chance. Very weird that he tried to go Ederson's left. This is a player without a clear head.
- James had so many important runs out of our half.
- Shaw just so good, I hope he isn't injured.
- I like Henderson and I think our defense is more confident with him. You need a GK who is not afraid to come off the line or your defense is always second guessing themselves.
- I think the ref realized he should not play-on when Fred is the one with the ball. ;)
- Kudos to the back 4.
- I actually hope Rashford has a slight injury and is out 1 1/2 weeks, it will do him good.

I hope more of you now realize that we need a good passing DM. I love their effort and heart but McT and Fred are just not good enough.

Excellent result. I didn't that see that one before that game. I was hopeful but was fully prepared for a difficult evening. Started in the best possible manner really with the penalty. We looked decent after that although of course City grew into the game. I was impressed that we looked very strong and was able to ride out the pressure without too much trouble.

Second half was much better to be honest. City never really had the same long sustained pressure like they did in the first and we continued to look solid. The goal relatively early was crucial to seeing out the game really as it would have given us renewed confidence and deflated them at a time here perhaps they thought they could turn the screw a bit. Delighted for Shaw. He deserves a big moment like that with the season he's having. Henderson look very solid and assured all night and did his chances of keeping his place no harm at all.

Only negative was the Rashford injury really.

When teams play a high line against us, that leaves space which we thrive on.

It is when teams sit back, that we struggle to break them down.

The perfect game for this United team. Playing against a high line allowing us to counter all day. Pleased to see the lads pressing from the start which won us the penalty.

Thought all of the back 5 were excellent. The goalkeeper fills me and that back 4 with confidence. Shaw is awesome right now. Martial to be fair to him was much better today. Frustrating how he does it almost when it suits him.

Ole really does have the hoodoo over Pep. Fantastic result get in!!

You put your in vote in, and then vote out. IN OUT IN OUT shake it all about!
Seriously what a team performance we gave it our all which was the best thing for me.
Henderson’s throw out for the 2nd is what he gives to us more then De Gea and I think Ole needs a serious think about him.

The wage bill doesn’t change, if they swap places.
As a defender, I'd feel much more comfortable knowing Hendo is bossing the box.

Absolutely outstanding especially 2nd half.
If anyone isn't happy after that I don't know what to say.
Buzzing.
