I have seen his opinion on a few topics cropping up in a few articles recently and it got me thinking;
Has this muppet got any credibility?

In a VAR age I'd like to see a red card for Rivaldo. Outrageous level of cuntishness.
Someone should have put one on his jaw, give him a legit reason to go down like a dog.

The real culprits in that video are the refs. What Rivaldo did was cnutish, but the reflex to milk incidents like that comes natural to a lot of players these days. The linesman however was standing right behind him and his job was to see through it.

I am really curious what he would be today. Would be rival Messi and Ronaldo or more Salah/Neymar?

In one off seasons, he could rival Messi/Ronaldo but not over course of career. Better than Salah/Neymar for me.

RIP @fontaine 2013-16 and his returnee account @bebeanderson 2017-18.

The fact that OP joined a year later and has started ranting about Rivaldo just like his predecessors makes this slightly suspicious.

He was an incredible player. Not sure what this thread is even about tbh.

Filthy diver though of course. Super talented player though.

Definitely above Salah for ability.

OP should take advantage of this and act in a way that we can't outrule that he is indeed Fontaine. No, should is the wrong word. He has to do this by posting enough content about Rivaldo over time.

Never has it been so easy to take over the position of a legend.

Legacy can be such a fine margin thing, Rivaldo was a class player and his form in that tournament should mean the Ronaldo/Rivaldo/Ronaldinho combo is remembered in the same vein as Law/Best/Charlton or Messi/Suarez/Neymar but that quick act of clownery has overshadowed his achievements really. Of course it doesn't help that he fell into his Golden Bin era pretty much as soon as the tournament ended.

Ronaldinho's and Rivaldo's career paths were quite similar.
I'm too lazy to go into much depth though.

I hate how that shitty piece of playacting overshadows his career. Unbelievable talent. I only wonder why it never worked out in Italy.

Great player, it is sad that one incident is one of the most memorable of his career.

Fantastic hattrick.

Also worth remembering, he had two fantastic World Cups.

How important was his clash with LVG?
LVG shifted him to the wing eventhough he won ballon do'r in that position
And LVG got rid of him before his return to Barcelona in 2002. Everyone lost there - LVG and Barcelona because the Rivaldo-less side crashed and burned, and Rivaldo because he didn't quite settle in Italy and it accelerated his decline.

Crazy that the Brazil 2002 squad had Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and Kaka (admittedly young and didn’t play much)

Extraordinary player, fell a little short of being an all time great. A terrible human being. Bolsonarista, by the way.

Incredible player - one of my favorites to watch growing up. By all accounts, a bit of a difficult personality though.

The thread is about decision making as the articles that have cropped up are about him giving advice.
The thread has got nothing to do with how good a player he was it is purely about the credibility of a player that would do what he did.
