It was news to me mate, and I appreciated it!
I've no problem announcing a match in this news thread. But with no match thread all the match discussion is likely to end up in here too. Do you want that?
Bloody hell. Are you still going on about that? :(
Don't worry, I certainly won't be doing it again.

But I'm confused what this thread is for, and the inconsistecy in which posts are 'allowed'. On the page that I posted a reminder about yesterday's U23 game - which apparently was 'wrong' - there was a reminder about the previous U23 game (exactly the same as I did) which didn't get criticised for posting here. A question about the Youth Cup game being on MUTV and a few posts about it (no 'why not start a thread?'), a reminder about a Notts Forest game and a few posts about Garner (surely the Garner thread more relevant?), posts about Will Fish (again, his thread?), discussions about a Grimsby youngster linked with us, etc.

None of those have been criticised or said they're out of place on the thread. So why are you making such a fuss about my one post that did the same?

Mate, am sure most of us appreciated that post. I certainly did.

Laird has got an assist for MK Dons today who are winning 2-1, he got subbed off a few minutes ago, let's hope its not an injury.

Edit: he also gave away the penalty for the Burton goal.

Moderators here are lazy in enforcing rules(see PS 2 below). Especially in the Youth/Reserve sub-forum.

A common example/issue are threads about a particular player getting hi-jacked by long discussions about other players - long discussions which can go on for pages. This even happens when the other player has his own thread, and sometimes when the other player plays an entirely different position! This issue I have is: specific topic threads getting hi-jacked when posters talk about something entirely different. AKA off-topic sub-threads. I don't have an issue with off-topic posts. But it's replies to off-topic posts which lead to the off-topic sub-threads! - which is why the rule is made against off-topic posts. So - I should really have posted to the guy who made the comment about the camera angle being no good - immediately after Bertie's initial post here. I never really had an issue with Bertie posting news of the match here. But it's best to start a new match thread first. Otherwise the thread can easily get hi-jacked by talk about something else.

PS: In a sensible world - the thread display would show sub-threads by including [collapse] and [expand] features. But it doesn't.
PS 2: In facts Mods don't seem to do much at all unless a member complains about another poster - in which case - you'll probably get a warning for harassment. I doubt anyone ever got a warning for posting off-topic!

Complained to MUTV about the camerawork at pitch level and they said they’ve forwarded it to the relevant people to look into. You’re welcome lads.
Share the email id. We should all do it for our general health.

Very much appreciated. Don't really know why I should continue to pay for it when it's that bad.

It's a bit strange as well seeing as Veo exists and you can film automatically. Surely that's the last they could do?

You're his Mum aren't you?
Sorry I’m a bloke, no relation either, my son was in the academy a few years ago though so still keep an interest. You’ve got a lad still in the U15’s if I’m correct?

Any dates on when the new lads (from derby) start training? Im assuming they are going to get them in before the end of the season?

So they were 'comprehensively battered' only in the second half, when the 3 u14s were introduced?
One 14 introduced half time rest came on near end. Heard we were lucky to still be in game at half time but scored a couple of worldies. Second half could have been double figures. No disgrace as we were missing our better player's. These players haven't played for 3 or 4 months so can't be match sharp yet.

I’ve watched the full game, we were battered from beginning to end. We also had two 16s in defence that have both been offered scholars, so it wasn’t a particularly weak team. I’m only posting the truth as these fan sites on Twitter tend to talk bollocks when the result is negative.

Please continue to tell us how it is (the good, bad and ugly) you’ve got access, you know what’s going on , sometimes it’s hard to hear the real picture on social media.
