The way England play James and Walker should be nailed on. It would be a shame for Trent but he hasn't had a (proper, non covid) break in over two years and needs one this summer if we're going for the PL title next season. Trent is young enough to make his mark with a decent England manager in the future.
It's a really tight call. If I was asked right now, when push comes to shove, I think Southgate has TAA in squad proper, brings James along just for the provisional squad.

I just think taking 3 RB's is a bit much, so in my head it'll have to be two of Walker, James and TAA and it wouldn't shock me if James lost that battle.
On one hand, I think a lot of folk's squads are picking 3 RBs as a cop-out from making a tough decision. On the other, if Southgate wants to play a back 3, and Walker is the RCB, then it makes sense to have more than one option for the RWB slot - otherwise it leaves the system vulnerable.

I would hope Southgate isn't planning on having a back 3 as the main set up, but if he does, then taking 3 RB's does at least make some sense.
