Bayern are brutally dominant aren't they? And yet, just not clinical enough today. Still, if they continue to create that many chances you'd expect something from them.

PSG remind me of when we had Ronaldo and we used to just leave him around the halfway line when defending. Except they do it with Neymar and Mbappe!

Part of why he’s become so injury prone in the last 3-4 years. Gets battered because he rips the piss out of defenders who can’t take it
I think it's also because he overrates almost every contact and ends up hitting the floor too hard from diving.

3 shots, 3 shots on goal and 3 goals is crazy for PSG & Chelsea :D

Is Lewandowski back for the return leg? Think Bayern are missing him, although the replacement scored a cracking header.

Set up nicely so far, but Bayern's high line should make all their fans nervous, when you have that PSG front 3 ready to counter in a moment.
Et tu, Brute?

I can't hear this high line stuff anymore... every single game people are whinging about the high line, well, that won Bayern the treble last season and so far this season they're still in the game. I swear, Bayern could win 6-2 and people would still go "Uhh, this high line is going to cost them!"

It's called pressing.

Even if Bayern turn this around and win PSG are in a great position.
Not really. Bayern are more than capable of winning in Paris nevermind getting a draw.

This game has been mostly Bayern. Scoreline flatters PSG massively.

Lewandowski would have a hat trick by now. Bayern have created a ton of chances

Goes to show the difference world class strikers make

Tbf I haven't watched him a lot so can't comment except the obvious sub tonight but thing about Bundesliga hipsters is that they pick some random player from Bayern, Dortmund etc. and praise him like he single handedly won them all the trophies when in reality there were at least 5 more important players in the team. And it usually turns out they aren't right when they face really good opposition, like tonight is the case.

I remembed Boateng being praised like best CB in the world, and he was generally very average in CL, nowhere near Bayern's best player. He had one or two very good seasons in Bundesloga when Bayern were generally great and that was it.
To be fair, Boateng is Bayerns 2nd best CB in history after Beckenbauer

Goretzka featured against top opposition before. Saying this about Goretzka looks daft, when he has featured in most of Bayern's big games over the last 2 years. He went off due to injury precautions the German commentator said. Just so you know it's not only the German "hipsters", Rio and multiple of the English tv pundits have been singing Goretzka's praises over last year's CL season.

Boateng got the motm award deservedly in the 2014 world cup final where he did win the World Cup. He's also won 2 trebles. He's got a lot of slack for lackluster performance throughout many of the seasons before last. But around 2012-2015 he was a world class center back.

Depends. They‘re clearly having some sort of defensive injury crisis judging by their line-up and substitution. If they can get 1 or 2 players back for the 2nd leg I'd back them to go through.

If LewanGOALski wasn't out injured it would be a whole other matter.
PSG have had two defenders go off injured too.

You clearly haven't seen enough of Boateng in his prime.

Actually I have, I watched Bayern quite a lot back then. Haven't seen Goretzka that much though, as I admitted in my last post.

Yeah mate, if Bayern win this 6-2 I'll take my words back. Playing with a high line obviously exposes you to counters, specially against a team like PSG.

It's called a fact.

Well Lewadowski has more goals in the last 2 years that Chupo Moting has in his entire career.

Haha. Was pretty funny hearing it from all the English pundits last season. How city would be “licking their lips”. Of course they went and got trounced by Lyon, but yeah. This is the Bayern way...

The moron who's commentating alongside Keown only just realised Alaba had been moved in to midfield. Where do they source these clowns?

Weird game, Bayern not playing too badly but PSG look like scoring every move.
