They have been rubbish for a long time. It should be a good opportunity to grap a win there. Not a big win or anything since they will park the bus and we will be tired but we should get a result.

    1-0 for us

Should be an easy win against the most negative manager in the world. I expect nothing but a win.

We are knackered, but we do need to get a win. Here is hoping Jose parks the bus again, so we do have enough time on the ball without needing to switch to gear 5 from the first minute. If we were facing a team that had rested for 6-7 days and raring to go, I'd be concerned. However, knowing Jose it will be a dreamliner parked in from of Spurs goal with all the hope in the world being put on Kane and Son.

I can see us going for a diamond here, with Fred rested and Pogba taken off early against Granada.

    ---------------Henderson
    AWB--Lindelof---Maguire---Shaw
    ---------------McTom/Matic---------
    ----Fred-----------------------Pogba
    ----------------Bruno----------------
    -----Cavani---------Rashford

    Henderson
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Fred
    McT Pogba
    Bruno
    Greenwood Rashford

Attacking 4-4-2 diamond, attack the bus parkers with speed. 0-0 or 0-1 United.

    Henderson
    AWB - Lindelof - Maguire - Shaw
    McTominay - Fred
    Bruno
    Rashford - Cavani - Pogba

I think that's what OIe will go with, not what I'd pick.

If City drop points against Leeds, United will loose.

That seems like how we usually respond.

McTominay and Fred in the middle and Pogba out wide will probably be likely. James/Greenwood being the sacrifice. I’m assuming Cavani uptop to start the game.

If the players have any pride Ole won't need to do a talk before this. They owes this to the club and fans to avenge Spurs for the ridiculous 6-1 defeat earlier this season. No excuses.

Big match for Harry Kane. He'll be a bit worried about winning, sneaking into the top 4 and finding himself staying at Spurs after all.

I can honestly see us losing this by two or three goals. We look dead on our feet half the time; and disinterested for much of the rest. This is the sort of game where SAF could almost pretty much guarantee us a win when we needed it big time. Ole doesn't inspire me in the same way and we can pretty much guess the team he will put out with seven holding midfielders!

A draw would be good enough for me.

Spurs have had a week off (like Leicester in the FA Cup)and we all know how good Jose is in preparing his teams with time on hand.

We will have majority of possession but find it hard to break them down. 0-0, which is okay in the grand scheme of things.

Did you copy/paste this from the City match day thread?

4 - 1, going 1 - 0 down in first half and caf will moan like crazy then second half massive come back. Leeds will draw with City 2-2 with raphina double nutmegging a player to score

We are well overdue a bad result, which is undoubtedly coming based on how laboured our displays have been throughout late winter and into spring.

Throw in Spurs game-raising like feck against us pretty much every time and you’ve got yourself a very tricky game. Our midweek exertions - on an already-exhausted core group of players - will certainly be an issue, too.

I’d take the draw at this stage but let’s see, I suppose.

It’s against Spurs at their place on Sunday. Your XI looks like the team which will be fielded for the second leg against Granada

Both teams will park the bus to avoid counters. Kane and Rashford will do a 1 vs 1 on the midway line all day long. 0-0.

Easy win and Mourinho to have a meltdown afterwards.

The lads banned for 2nd leg will all play obviously

    Henderson

    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw

    MCT Fred Pogba

    Bruno

    Rashford Greenwood

Tough game would take a draw.
Would love to beat Mourinho though. Just hope Lindelof doesnt get ragged by Kane like he does everytime he comes up against him.

José won’t allow us to counter, unless a team has a brain fart ala that debacle at OT; it’s 0-0 or a 1-0 either way via a piece of brilliance for me.

    I think 0-0.
Ole is trying to emulate Jose.
    And Jose is Jose.
Both teams will park the bus, with very few mistakes and it'll be a snoozefest.

I expect us to win and keep a clean sheet but mark my words, we had best be prepared to have the ball lumped into the box, behind AWB with Kane challenging him.

Yeah this will be another Chelsea type game I feel. It's a bigger game for Spurs though so the emphasis should be on them to attack.
