Just seen this, truly horrible. Can't imagine what he must be feeling, having his father gone so suddenly. Hope he gets all the help he needs.

awful news, even worse that he probably won't be able to attend the funeral either.

He's had a hard few weeks already and then this happens. life really kicks you when you're down doesn't it?

That was my first thought. Must be absolutely devastating and I guess he won't be able to attend the funeral either.

RIP José Becker. All emotional strength to Alisson.

Now I'll make a comment strictly about football:

Alisson is surely one of the best goalkeepers in the world and he does at least a very, very good and consistent job for Liverpool. Him and Van Dijk were absolutely essential for Liverpool's defense to finally become good. I know you guys love to hate on Liverpool's players an underrate them (specially when they aren't in good form now, such as TAA and Alisson) because you are mostly United supporters, I get the bias, but there can be no doubt in these last years that Alisson is truly a top goalkeeper and a godly blessing for Liverpool after Karius.
I think the vast majority of Redcafe think Allison is in top 3 GK and VVD is the best defender in world.

I personally like TAA a lot.

There will be a lot of posts making fun of his errors last couple of weeks but that's to be expected.

I find it hard to accept that. Just breaks my heart.

I would go no matter what. I would imagine there are exceptions for funerals. Would quarantine for however long.

That's terrible. Really sad for the family. Was it a tragic accident?

RIP Becker senior. Hopefully Alisson is given some time off to grieve properly.

There isn't unfortunately. Klopp missed his mums funeral too just last month and that was Germany.

I'm not sure if we are on a banned list from Brazil though? maybe now things are relaxing a little he might.

Brazil doesn't ban anyone from entering there. There might be one for entering England but who cares in this case

Has Brazil banned people from UK? Usually, resident foreigners should still be able to come in. But I guess there won't be direct flights, but still he may be able to travel. And he should quarantine once he is back.

He was never the best GK in the world, let's be real. A lot of English pundits either don't know much about European football or don't trust the British public to know about it. Oblak and Neuer, at the very least, are certainly better.

It's not like Alisson has a catalogue of memorable saves to back up his claim to being the best, either. He's like Ederson. Usually he just doesn't have much to do.

Hopefully the last of the people who still believed Alisson was anywhere near as good as Ederson with the ball at his feet have finally given up on that one, though.
2017-18 Alisson was out of this world

He is a top goalkeeper, but he lost confidence this season like Liverpool as a whole. And, guys, his father died. Everything is going wrong for him this season

Wasn’t there some tube on RAWK lauding him as, ‘The greatest goalie to grace the game’ not too long ago?

If you remove the errors he's obviously excellent. But there have been a lot of errors. Not just this season either. I'm pretty sure that since he's arrived in the PL he's made more errors leading to chances/goals than either Ederson or De Gea, according to the official OPTA stats at least.

Liverpool rivalry aside, that was a great moment for him, you can see how much it meant especially after losing his father.
