I do not believe there is another full back close to him in the league. It is getting to a ridiculous level of perfect full back play every single time he is on the pitch.

I'm going to have to stop commenting in here is say, getting bored of trying to describe how good this guy is.

That last moment in the game, just inviting someone to challenge him from the back. Not even fussed to sprint, waiting arrogantly for the contact.

Shaw is the best LB in the country.

Unbelievable player. It’s like everything he does comes off no matter what at the moment.

Ridiculously good on the ball today. The confidence on the ball to keep going despite being heckled was immense.

And how can one not mention that pass to Bruno. Would have been remembered for years had Pog scored that

I haven't read the thread back, but just a quick question. Firstly, his yellow card was completely deserved. However, the referee allowed Spurs to take a quick free kick instead of booking Shaw, only to then go and book him after that phase of play had concluded. Is this normal? Shouldn't this negate Shaw's card, or can a referee go around booking players for previous offences at his leisure?

Just to add, class today as usual.

This is baseline level. I'm serious, he can get much much better IMO.

Edit: still 3 months to turn 26. Ridiculous :D

Great image. Worth a 1000 words.

That is such a perfect photo. Mourinho looking like he’s found his wife in bed with Pep while Ole is a literal laughing emoji. Shaw’s even looking down on Jose while Lindelof cheers him on like a supportive GF.

You love to see it.

Technically he's one of the best players in our squad. And physically he's a monster... best left back in the league and it's not even close

José was killing his career and the majority of our fans bought into it. Love that picture.

He’s one of the few players in our team that knows when to just kick a player to the ground when the opposition is counter attacking.

Has he essentially solved football?

Love that he bosses it for 90 minutes but always with the same look of vague disgruntlement on his face like he hasn't noticed how good he is.

If he doesn't win the PFA PotY award by a mile, then it's a fix.

I don't think there's a player in the league, in any position, playing as consistently well as he is.
For me Gundogan and Grealish are his only competition, because they're the only three players in the league who have been world-class for the entire season. De Bruyne, for example, has had quite bad patches. Bruno not playing anywhere near as well right now as he was in the autumn. Etc.

Fair to say he's now overtaken Fernandes as our POTY favourite? We've not had someone deliver consistent 7/10 performances in a long time.

Not sure why but that cracked me up

Brilliant footballer. It's crazy what confidence does to a player, he's suddenly playing Scholes-esque passes
I hope Southgate plays Chilwell at the Euros so Shaw can be fresh for next season.

Kane is probably the favourite.

Among dark horses- Son - the guy is scoring despite having had his eye removed today. Just tells you the level he's been performing at

So happy to see how he’s been playing. I’ve always been a fan of his but now that he’s playing at this level week in week out it really is good to see. A weird thing I’ve noticed about him is he seems to have the best first touch in the team.

I'm so glad our patience with Luke is finally paying reward! What a performance.
Full credit to him for the effort he put to overcome his injuries, and the toll it would have taken on his mental health. (And of course to Ole for supporting him). I still remember Jose's post match comment after Luke had a good game once: "His body my brain". WTF. No young player, playing for any team, in any sport, or in any field should face such public shaming.

I won’t die happy until I see him play at least 1 game as a CDM  such a classy player.
