Was kicked left and right and that fat feck of a ref didn't give anything
It’s ridiculous. He’s a victim of his own stature and skill. Despite being so tall and strong, he constantly tongue ties the opposition so the normal kicks and drags back that would get a normal tricky winger and win a foul aren’t given for him.

Another class performance, I really like him off the left as he adds creative balance but we were getting nothing from the double pivot so Ole moving him there for the 2nd half made sense and he orchestrated things superbly in that role as well.

He does help control the game when he plays deeper, but it also feels like he's only at about 70% if that. Hopefully Ole keeps using him more advanced, he can always drop back.

Absolutely love when he starts taking the piss out of the opponents in the corner in the last minutes of games, especially because most of the times we play against some twats. And burnley players are at the top of the list in that regard

Someone said it best in the match day thread.

Pogba playing DM/the furthest back midfielder is criminal.
Agreed.

But it u want to win a game and bring in Cavani, you won't take out Rashford, Greenwood, Bruno and Pogba, so the best option is to take out one of Mcfred and drop Pogba down and get him to help with ball distribution and long range passing, it will surely curtail his danger factor when he plays high up but it's better him playing deeper to accommodate a striker rather than him take out

His capacity to take control of a difficult ball in midfield under pressure, then drive away from opposition players is unparalleled. A few midfielders can do it, but none as effectively as him.

Another excellent performance....play him deep, play him high. The most adaptable player we have and absolutely brilliant.....how many good games does he have to bad ones do you reckon?

He’s been our most influential player since he came back. Tackling, fighting and creating. Playing with purpose. Ive no problem with him staying at all. If he can stay fit and focussed we have a borderline world class player on our hands. I know some say he is already world class but I think he needs to do this for a whole season before I’d be insisting he’s this or that. He can be though.

We should somehow make him sign the new contract.

I hope we push him forward more often, alongside Bruno.

I think Ole wants to try and play him higher up but right now the issue is neither of McFred can pass water, so he has to keep dropping deeper.

Yeah, believing that nonsense and then use it against player.

Pogba's contract was leaked long back and almost everyone who followed the news back then knows the details. He makes around 144k in basic, then have bunch of clauses like CL qualification, loyalty bonus and image rights. He gets 3 million from image rights.

Somehow he will get hike from 144k to 500k and then on top of that image rights thing too

Poor Paul could be getting shafted for 1.85million if we get points deducted

What a fecking can of worms this will open in regards to active contracts.

Magisterial again. No-one in football turns defensive possession - under pressure from multiple players - into attacking situations - weaving through and striding away from those players - better than Pogba does.

Is there an Opta stat for that? If not, seems majority of today’s football watchers (or more ‘readers’ it sometimes seems) will not know what to do with such info!

Quick question. Have we ever tried Pogba as a false nine? I’d like to see a 4-3-3 with rashford to his left and Greenwood to his right and Bruno in midfield. He potentially has the physical attributes and short passing skills to pull it off. I know we would miss his passing from deep but he has not been playing in the pivot lately. He wouldn’t replace a natural 9 banging them in but I’d still like to see how it would play out.
I think he could play anwhere in the front line and cause the opposition problems. Any player who combines that kind of physical presence and skill would.

Just don't have him in centre mid.

Good performance but dont play him deep. Burnley went through us with ease in the 2nd half, I felt.

I’d love to see it. The way he can turn opponents is word class so why not have him do it to the last defender rather than in front of our own box. He had a great game today.

The only other option was to play McTominay there and he can't handle that position.

Pogba has actually demonstrated that he can ochestrate from the back on several occasions. McTominay always needs Fred or someone else next to him in a deeper role.

Had Fred stayed on the pitch (or if Matic was on instead of McTominay) Pogba would've been deployed in an advanced role

Haha very true. No, in this instance just my own unquestionable good judgement ;)

Honestly think we could've won the title had he not got injured when he did.

I think this is really underrated in our season. People always talk about Pool missing VVD and City missing KDB but even our own fans don't acknowledge that we missed Pogba for so long. If anything it affects us more than the others do our rivals. Class player.

I thought he was more effective in first half than second half.

I personally don't think he will be given new contract as he/his agent will ask lot of wages. Who knows, but Murtough will have a very tough decision to make this summer thanks to Ed's masterclass work for leaving his contract in the final year. If he asks 350k p/w, I don't see that as big problem. Anything higher might be a problem for our wages structure especially if we are planning to fix it now with the appointment of football director.

 fecking Moss telling Pogba how to play. No wonder these refs think it's OK to kick the shit out of flair players.

We really don't do him justice. Our crap CMs force Ole to move him to CM, which to this day, I still think it's limiting what he can do in final third.

That Moss clip is so telling. Opposition players can kick Pogba all day because they view his superior technique and skill as "taking the piss". Even though he isn't and, even if he was, it wouldn't justify some of the fouls opposition players get away with on him. Or any flair player over here in England for that matter.

That’s shocking, should be struck off for telling a player not to show his skills and deeming it ok for opponents to boot him for doing so...

Hes not going on about his skills. Pogba screamed and rolled on the floor. Moss gave him the foul but didn't need to hear the ott yelp. Which is fair play imo
