Yeah that’s what we want - somebody who doesn’t give a feck about where the club’s come from. Moronic.
Like Roman and the City guys who just helped bring football back. :)

Not a minute has gone but yet some forget what has just happened.

The owner of Amazon, a PL broadcaster, cannot buy a PL team. It’s a conflict of interest.
Is that true? I remember Murdoch tried to buy us one time. Not sure how clear the rules are.

Bezos himself is oc no longer ceo of Amazon in any case.

Do you remember how it ended when he did?

Get the gals from the Mars family to invest. They bought a vet company for $9 billion. Peanuts.

Funny my husband was speaking about this the other day. From his recollections, he says he believed the government intervened. I dunno the details cause he got distracted after that. Probably something to do with Murdoch but not sure on details.

Yeah the government blocked it after a monopolies and mergers investigation ruled it anti-competitive. But Amazon has nowhere near the same PL TV rights that BSKY had at the time, and there wouldn't be a mass fan protest against Bezos (for example) as there was against Murdoch. And finally Bezos is no longer CEO of Amazon anyway.

So I thing the situation would be completely different tbh. I imagine most fans would love a takeover from a billionaire hobbyist whose worst crime is making his van drivers pee in a bottle.

But it's all hypothetical oc. We still have the Glazers to see off.

Hopefully myself and a consortium of newly rich crypto billionaires. If my Doge investment hits the moon.

In seriousness. It would most likely be a few major shareholders on the stock market. Similar to how it was before Glazer's hostile takeover.

Realistically speaking? The Saudi's I guess, though I have no idea what a fit-and-proper test means in practice.
Well look at the people that own PL clubs who've passed it. Fit and proper is codeword for obscenely wealthy.

Surely, Jose could do it with all the money he’s gotten through his severance packages down the years?

Steve Ballmer is a good one, he’s worth like 75 billion.
I could like this. He s also from Detroit which means it might increase the odds of seeing United return to Michigan again for more games I hope (break the attendance record again?). Not to mention the LA connection will help too I'm sure. At the same time I'm not sure if it would change anything compared to now...other than Steve being a pretty likeable bloke compared to the Glazers.

Nice little consortium of KKR, Apollo and CVC. Sack half the employees, rebrand and sell on to a new PE consortium in 7 years for a 15% return.

No American owners ideally. Unless they are rich enough to not need ROI.
Bezos is the richest man in the world isn't he?

Vince McMahon
No chance in Hell!

“In terms of your views on the transfer window Connor, what direction are you going to support the club? Continue the youth-way, or sign elite stars like Haaland?”

“Who the feck is that goy?”
 He'll propose a fight between him and Roman.

As a fan of the Lakers, I would be deeply opposed to this, his record at the clippers in terms of investment is great, though.

He still is up until the 3rd quarter this year.

Then he will become executive chairman, which again is managerial position.

Besides Jim Ratcliffe, any other British billionaires that are known to be United fans? Who are the richest people in the Manchester area?

Weren't Whittaker and Fred and Peter Done United fans? Still won't be enough.
