If we don't go big for a striker, and trust Martial for another year, I really think Danny Ings would be worth a look into, his movement is fantastic and knows the the goal is. Martial, Ings, Greenwood would be adequate enough if we want to fully strengthen the RW, midfield and a centre back with the possibility of competition for AWB also.

Could be a tricky window I suspect. Not even touched on the rumours surrounding Pogba.
The tricky thing is Ole has been pretty clear he doesn't see Mason transitioning to striker for a few years, I don't think Ings is anywhere near good enough to be more than a one season stop-gap.

Oh I agree,he would be perfect if we need to put to the striker position off for another year and give Martial one more season to impress. Having Mason or Rashford as a 3rd ST would be adequate cover until we try to strengthen next year. I can see the club aiming for a CB and a MC this window with Ole trusting in Mason and Amad for the RW.

I think he will buy a CB and striker if Cavani goes.

I have a feeling we are just going to add a couple players at most with CB being priority.

It was looking inevitable but it's still irritating as we could have held off buying a Striker for another season.
Agree. He was a short time solution that actually worked, and it would be great not needing to look for another short time solution. Strikers do not come cheep, I´d rather spend the money on the likes of Sancho, Varane or/and Rice.

According to tomorrow's La Gazzetta dello Sport, there have already been contacts between Mendes and Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo

As they're adding the final piece?
Well, Godfrey is very young and only just got the nod to play in the centre this season and Aarons is a prospect rather than the finished article - so yeah. Starting.

Doubt Aaron's will be a massive upgrade on Coleman for a while, and I'm not convinced anyone is calling Keane extremely good.

Digne is a top player and I really like Godfrey. Definite potential there

Kayky's one of the most promising teenagers to be coming out of Brazil. He's a quick and exciting right winger who's been playing first-team football for Fluminense at the age of 17.

How is he only 25M? Good player, German international. I expected around 35.
He's a good player, but he's struggled to fit in at Dortmund and hasn't been a consistent performer for them. He's not necessarily and aggressive attacking player, and when he got tried out in the centre of midfield, he was unable to keep up, defensively.

Personally dont think Aarons is in the same league as COleman even an ageing one, think he is massively over rated. Keane is nothing either for me other than a bang average old fashioned English centre back.

Digne is the one quality defender in that back four. I do rate Godfrey though, think he can go on to be a top centre back, something the England side desperately needs but a year or two early for him

I have a feeling this may become the transfer deal that gains momentum thread wise on here as a summer sage that we will lose out on, but genuinely have never been involved in anyway.....even though we should be in my opinion but Fred isnt going anywhere and thats the only way I see us being in for a deal

Thats an incredible deal
Looks it on paper. Been a lot of dicussion of him being the better of the partnership with Upamecano, personally think its Upamecano by some way bar consistency and not sure he is the ideal partner for DVD, but he is a quality defender and it is a good price. Seem to be some good deals possible for good centre backs this summer.

Saying that, this forum everybody was absolutely raving about how good Kabak was when Liverpool were linked. Of course its early days, he needs time to settle and hasnt had any greta centre baks beside him....but from what I have seen of him so far, certainly (saw very very little of him in Germany) far from impressed

Alongside van Dijk he will look great. All depends on his fitness

I would like him here and think he could be a good option for us. I've been impressed ever since he was at Old Trafford with Wolfsburg (or some German side in green, don't hold me to that) and he looked very classy.
