Just because Ronaldo didn't score the first goal, they could have still included it. He got the assist for that, if there has to be a Ronaldo angle.

Oh, what a game that was. At the third goal some Arsenal fans in the pub got angry with us for celebrating because we were 'blocking their view'. We told them they really should be thanking us for that.

If somoene asks you to define counterattacking football, link the above video and tell them to watch the second goal.

I remember being nervous as feck with this game, as it was only a 1-0 lead from the first leg and the gooners seemed buoyant that they could wreck our shit. Kieran Gibbs was the proto-Slippy G

This match and next season's PL win at Emirates (also 3-1) seem to be of the exact mould. Our 3rd goal in this game and Rooney's counter attacking goal assisted by Nani were again almost an exact copy.

Will never forget Nani's skill for the first goal, absolute beauty.

I’d actually consider that goal on the break more satisfying, but it was an incredible strike.

God, I loved that game, one of my favourite from that season.

Can't believe it was fecking twelve years ago. Same difference like between today and 2033, wow.

That second goal is one of the best counter attacking goals you will see. I think as well it was in the top ten best CL goals ever as well.

12 years, as if!

I was just watching this with my flatmates the other week. I remember it well, because I can’t remember the rest of the night at all.

A great night it was, though. What I wouldn’t do to go back to those days!

(But not the final a few weeks later. I’d rather not relive that one again, as it was one of my top two most disappointing moments as a United supporter.)

That's the game Fletcher got that red card that was not even a faul, right?

Man, I was (still am) so pissed about that.

The last time we were a truly great team. May 2009. The weather was beautiful and I was 21.

Everything's gone downhill since.

It's kinda depressing watching this. Had WC team and should have continued building on it, instead we sold Ronaldo and Tevez and got Obertan, Owen and Valencia. We were linked with all those great players like Benzema and Sneijder yet it never happened, instead our team was regressing with every season.

Sorry for going off topic, its about Ronaldo's goal obviously and it's shame we lost that final afterwards, unlike Barca from 2011 that 2009 Barca team wasn't (much) better than us.

That was the day Arsenal ceased to be a big club in my eyes.

One point on this goal... aside from the great shot/crap keeping... why does the wall look absolutely miles away?! To the naked eye it looks about 15 yards at least.
I’m guessing tv angles. We don’t usually see a wall at this angle so it seems further away.
