Barcelona are the best attacking side in la liga by far, but when they are up against top sides they look frail.
Atletico and Real are simply more solid and better drilled, so there's little surprise that Barca couldn't beat either of them during the season. they took a single point from 4 games against them. regardless of that, Barca still had good chance to win the league as they usually break lower clubs easier than Madrid clubs. that's why home games vs Cadiz and Granada in particular were tragic. you can kinda get away with being frail and shakey vs Madrid teams if you're still able to dispose the lower clubs better than them. casually losing to Granada at home was just crazy considering what was at stake.
Because they have Messi. Against the top sides Messi is not enough
RM lost the least amount of points out of the top three in April, I think. Given the injury crisis and the exhaustion issues, dropping only 4 points, conceding 1 goal, and outpacing your rivals, is pretty good.

Barcelona la liga hope is over. They've suicided themselves by losing to Granada at home. They had just one job and they bottled it. And they have a lifeline by beating Atletico Madrid at home but they were lucky to come away with a point. No way Atletico Madrid is losing another game. I'm actually happy for Simeone and Atletico Madrid to finally win La Liga again after what seems like an eternity and break the Barca and Real Madrid dominance.
It would be so Atleti to lose one of their final games and hand Barca the title

we thoroughly outplayed Atletico in the second half, Oblak is the only reason they escaped with a point, much like Ter stegen bailed us out in the first half. And you want to talk about bottling? Atletico were up 12 points with a game in hand. The fact that there even is a title race is absolutely mental as they fell apart completely

Sevilla super lucky there, the fact they had 10 men near Real's box for that corner and Benzema was free on the half way line is an absolute joke. Sevilla don't even need a goal for anything

This is too good. In my opinion, and it's my sincere opinion, Benzema just drops at the slightest touch of the keeper - that wasn't a pen for me honestly, I know there's contact but Benzema fakes it so badly it just tells me it wasn't enough for him to go down. Then the Militão pen, the ball scratches his back before hitting the hand + he doesn't have eyes in his back as far as I know.

1st handball was too harsh for a pen IMO, but without that handball madrid wouldn't have had the counter to score their pen. fairest thing would probably be to call a BS foul in the corner and give a free kick to Courtois.
