They swear the governor in on that Bible ever since.
Wouldn’t doubt it.

They probably keep it hermetically sealed like the Declaration of Independence.

Can’t let such an important time like that book get destroyed by the sands of time.

He’s clearly groveling for Jewish votes in NYC, instead of providing a more balanced response to what is happening. Even Biden is calling for “deescalation”.
Wasn't he from the Tech Industry previously? There's a lot of tech companies there, he might have contacts

He’s running for Mayor of a city with the world’s largest Jewish population anywhere outside Israel, and is saying all the right things to assuage one of his largest potential voting blocks.

I don't disagree, I was just wondering if he had other links to Israel

He may have, but his branding as a “tech investor” has sort of worn off over the past two years. He’s now more or less seen as a politician.
I think it could be important that another prominent US politician has business ties with Israel, or any other country breaking UN conventions

That was a retaliation to the missile atracks , wasnt it?
Which were provoked by Israel storming Al-Aqsa one of the holiest Muslim sites in the world.

Palestine retaliating is terrorism but Israel killing innocents is fair game?

Wasnt there a full scale riot that provoked the police action?

The problem is perspective / spin (depending on your perspective / spin) ... as it could also be said that the police restored peace after protestors rioted at the temple mount (one of the holiest Jewish sites in the world)

Something different needs to be tried as nothing so far has worked... sadly i have no idea what that someting is or what might work

But 50 years of US lead "peace process" has not delivered anything (though there has not been an all out regional war... but thats probably more due to the many smaller conflicts there has been) so yeah it must surely be time to try something new but as I say I have no idea who could lead that or what it might be

The amount of shit I've seen Israel pulling off just because "I cant comment on a complex situation" and anti-semitism makes me sick. Every other day I hear some kid or medic got shot. We have mountains of evidence that Israel are committing ethnic cleansing but they always get a free pass. Always. No nation even has the balls to condemn the killings because big daddy USA (Only seen SNP commenting on it).

Even after everything we have seen you still tweet "I stand with Israel" you're a piece of shit and I'd be disappointed if he's elected mayor.

Imagine not fighting over validity of one’s fairytale.

Imagine trying that.
Soviets were genocidal manics and commited horrific atrocities but sometimes I think maybe they had the right idea about religion.

Remove that element in the ME & the whole issue is vastly altered.

It’s literally a fight over validity over tangents of the original fake news.

Tbf I'm sure humanity would have found another cause to murder one another.

Absolutely no doubt.

At least it potentially could be argued that such psychosis has some foundation in reality, albeit a potentially very tenuous one.

It sure would be a lot harder to create differentiation between types of people, however.

I don't know if it would. If you look at it, even though the powers that be are manipulating people via religion, those same groups are generally also divided by race as well. I do not doubt that race could easily step into the void created if religion disappeared tonight. Religion/race/gender/identity/sexual orientation/etc. are all labels used by the power hungry to manipulate those they need to stay in power.

Without a doubt, but throughout time, the race/gender/identity/orientation phobias & have typically been couched & sold through religious prisms & views.

I contend that there’s never been a more unifying hatred device than religion. It obviously has had positive impact on historical global society, but it’s also at the foundation of almost every phobia or evil -ism or we’ve ever known. Religions been the main tool used by those who are power hungry.

Cheney Declares War on Trump Moments After Her Ouster: Will Do All I Can to Ensure He Never Gets ‘Near the Oval Office’ Again

https://www.mediaite.com/tv/cheney-...ure-he-never-gets-near-the-oval-office-again/
From the Desk of Donald Trump...

Donald J. Trump
9:36am May 12, 2021
Liz Cheney is a bitter, horrible human being. I watched her yesterday and realized how bad she is for the Republican Party. She has no personality or anything good having to do with politics or our Country. She is a talking point for Democrats, whether that means the Border, the gas lines, inflation, or destroying our economy. She is a warmonger whose family stupidly pushed us into the never-ending Middle East Disaster, draining our wealth and depleting our Great Military, the worst decision in our Country’s history. I look forward to soon watching her as a Paid Contributor on CNN or MSDNC!

And I'm all out of bubblegum.
Bitter GOP infighting for couple of years wouldnt be the worst thing.
That's the optimistic take. The pessimistic one is that the far-right Trumpists will destroy any opposition and the rest of the party will follow along. Hopefully it's different now that Trump isn't President any longer, but we saw what happened to the Never-Trumpers. They either turned into complete Trump lackeys or were utterly excised from the GOP.

Before 2016 I would have agreed with you, but I've been traumatized.
