What a signing. Don't know how we managed to beat City, United, Liverpool and get him to leave Chelsea. It's only May 9th and he already has ONE goal. Sky's the limit for that brazilian genius. :o

Who was it that was bragging that they’ve poached one of Chelsea’s best players?

To be fair to Arsenal fans some of us spent Mourinho's tenure trying open some redcafe members to this guys limitations. For some reason a lot of people thought he was this great winger despite the poor stats. You can't be a winger for a big club and produce 5 goals and 10 assits no more.

Not sure how accurate it is, but some sporting websites are saying that Willian would be keen on a return to Chelsea.

I think that could be more likely than Hazard returning there if it was just on a one year deal, but still, it would be very weird. Chelsea seems to be moving in a younger direction.

No way Chelsea get him back after such season with Arsenal. He's day dreaming.

The report said he wants to return to Stamford Bridge. It didn't say anything about Chelsea.

He will probably end up in the MLS, no way Chelsea take him back.

Red Card for Casemiro!
I will put my hand up and accept that I was completely wrong about this transfer.

I was gutted when we didn't get him as a solution for the right wing. He could dribble, assist, take great set pieces, create space and was good with both feet. I thought it was a no brainer for our RW and that we royally fecked up by letting 15-20 G+A slip away on a free to Arsenal.

Should never have left, Cant understand why a 2 year deal offered by us was such a problem. Seemed fair to me.

Arsenal look set up for their most meme-y season yet.

The Amazon documentary
The loss to Hibernians in the first match of pre season
Willian channeling his inner Hazard
Xhaka trying to leave because he says Arsenal is holding him back

What else will we see unfold?

Pandemic and loadsamoney. I dont blame him. He can be as fat as a sumo wrestler and its totally fine by me. In fact I hope at some point Jose will join Arsenal with Willian, Matic and Lukaku as his core players. Brilliant, brilliant team.

this aged well then. Man looks pregnant.
Didn't he end up actually breaking down talks with Beckham's MLS side because he wanted like double what their highest earner was on? Shows where he's at right now. The professionalism has gone, he'll only leave Arsenal for the big bucks. Mad they took him in on such a big contract anyway.

No, it was because they already broke the MLS rules about designated players and going over the cap. To sign him they'd have to get rid of one of them and even then, the typical European salary is too big to fit in the MLS structure. And we all know he's not taking a pay cut and will milk the next 2 years on his London sofa.
Orlando could have been a possibility but i think they can't have him + Nani for the same salary cap reasons.
It's a mess, he's probably not hitting most of his bonus objectives but is still taking at least 100/120k pw doing nothing.

Terminates his own contract and walks away from £20m. Signs 2 year deal with Corinthians.

No way is he going to want to have a part in the legacy that is Arsenal All or Nothing. Willian would have been one of the ones singled out as a laughing stock. He's done the smart thing running a mile from this season.
