Jorginho is a good player but when he's bad, he's absolutely horrible. was having a terrible game even before that backpass.

Very interesting question. If Arsenal hadn’t have scored and the ref blew for a pass back how would the free kick work. It would be an indirect free kick right in the line. However surely Chelsea players couldn’t be within 10 yards?

If the offence takes place inside the 6 yard line the indirect free kick is given on the 6 yard line itself at the closest point to the incident (I think).

You watch chelsea in tight areas against high press and you would appreciate how McFred have been coached, trained and evolved recently against high press.

I'll be honest, I'm surprised we haven't seen that Jorginho moment more often considering how teams play around with it at the back.

Thanks. Although that’s absolute bollocks. Denied a goal through what is a foul but Chelsea don’t really get punished. It’s hard to score and indirect free kick from the 6 yard line.

Arsenal are poor and Chelsea's finishing is poor, should have at least scored 1.

You'd of thought Arsenal would have learnt their lesson with Ozil.... what on Earth were they long giving Aubameyang that contract

I'd encourage the Arsenal board to give Mikel Arteta a 10 year contract if his side holds on for a win in this match

Chelsea’s midfield just not offering the penetration that having dynamic players like Kante gives you. Kovacic to a lesser extent. Gilmour and Jorginho are too similar in that they mainly just play safe passes and neither of them is really a risk taker (aside from Jorginhos back pass of course )

Chelsea dominant and should have had 1 or 2 goals. Arsenal's only chance worth mentioning came from the Jorginho blunder. But maybe it's just one of these games.

this has not been a good half of football. chelsea well below their best and far too negative in possession (jorginho and zouma at their most tentative didn't help). thought gilmour was okay in that he was the only one trying to play forward from midfield but I guess you can't depend on a 14 year old to be the creative fulcrum of your team. arsenal look like spurs under mourinho, at their most desperate.
