I've never got the impression from anybody that Russ was a bad teammate except KD and I would take everything he said with a grain of salt. My problem with Russ is his awful decision making which is the kiss of death for a PG. I've often thought if he could have been fitted with some sort of electrical device when he was younger and zapped every time he took a three to get him out of the habit he would be an all time great.:)
Yeah critique of his decision making is certainly fair.

Thought it was obvious i meant Durant
Oh well in that case I'm all aboard. feck KD

You can't beat the Wizards for excitement. They're either playing games down to the wire, scoring points like they're going out of style or both.

In the month of May alone (7 games) they have:

Hawks 120
Wizards 116

Hawks 125
Wizards 124

Wizards 133 (OT)
Pacers 132

Wizards 131 (OT)
Raptors 129

Bucks 135
Wizards 134

Wizards 154
Pacers 141

Mavs 125
Wizards 124

Now that's what I call excitement!

Huge win by the Cavs to break the OKC/Orlando/Cleveland lottery tie-breaker.

Just had a look at the schedules. The Mavs have it pretty easy and I can see them win out but Portland still play Utah, Phoenix and Denver, that's as tough as a closing stretch gets. Hopefully we can sneak in at #6 (and immediately kick the Clippers out of the playoffs).

Seems like we don't have the tiebreaker against any of them though. Urgh, really don't wanna play Curry in the play-ins.
I think the Clippers take us in the playoffs this year unfortunately.

So great to have James Harden back, ludicrously entertaining to watch. Some of his assists last night were just .

The Heat are going to beat the 76ers in the second round. I just think they’re a better side, and I don’t believe the 76ers have the ball handlers to win a close play-off series. Butler and Bam are better than Simmons and Embiid too.

Is Embiid injured again, he had like 7pts or something.
He never got going, couldn't get any easy looks and didn't draw fouls like he normally does. I think he just had the flu (?) so probably a combination of recovering from that + Philly didn't really need to try for this one.

Edwards better than Zion. I saw this hot take on twitter and while I don't agree, I also don't think that Edwards and Ball are that far from Zion who was labeled as a generational talent. Am I wrong?

Zion isn't even the best player in his draft, Ja is.

Edwards and Ball are much closer to Zion than the media will have you believe.

Ja is amazing, he is fun to watch and his confidence is refreshing. I wonder when Ball and Edwards will be seen as Zion's equals, next season will tell us if it's real but it seems that they both could be generational talents. The NBA is going to be fun with this generation of players.

No way is Ja the better player ffs
Interestingly in terms of Advanced stats, Ja has a better net rating. He is at 3.1 while Zion is at 2.1. Personally in a redraft, I would pick Morant above Zion.

Why just look at the net rating though. Zion had a VORP of 3.8 this season to Ja's 0.7 . Their Winshare/48 was Zion .206 to Ja at .079.

Ja is a Guard making 1 three per game at 30% for the season. People watch him play once or twice & love the crazy style but he is not great at all

I prefer to use offensive and defensive ratings. I also have no issue with the idea that Zion is better than Ja, I would pick Ja in a redraft though.

Well net rating has a lot to do with who you are on the floor with . Lamelo for example has a net rating of -2.5

There are no perfect stats, they are all box score based stats and are all influenced by who was on the floor. Also I told you that I have no issue with the idea that Zion is better.

He is unless you think points in the paints and athleticism is all it takes to be the better player.
Again please tell me how is he the better player. I am not even someone who is obsessed with Zion but there really is nothing Ja Morant has that makes him the better player

Ja is better all around in his skills and is leading a less talented Grizzlies team into a better record than Zion's Pelicans.

I just don't rate Zion that much because he's only a threat in the paint on offense and until he shows it consistently that he has something more to his game other than his crazy athleticism, Ja is the superior player between the two of them.

Zion has the higher ceiling I think. I'd still take him #1 but I think the gap is definitely closer than the media suggests.

Not even a debate between Zion and Ja, I am picking Zion every single time over him. Ja and Barrett are at this point much closer than Zion and Ja are.

I'm probably the only person that doesn't rate Zion. He's good but not as good as the media and NBA is making him out to be. He doesn't play defense (on ball defending), his handling skills is ok for a big (but the 'experts will tell you its exceptional), he's not a good passer, can't shoot 3's(don't let that spurs game fool you, they were leaving him wide open), can't rim protect and he doesn't have a mid range game. I know he averages 27 points or something like that but I'm just talking about his overall game. Then again it's all opinions here

On another note anybody watching the Warriors game vs the Pelicans on ESPN? Such a scrappy game atm
You're essentially watching garbage time minutes from the tip off.

The Rockets Clippers is the one I'm keeping an eye on. It looks like the Clippers are trying to throw the game so that they can get on the other side of the playoff bracket from the Lakers.

Their game against the tanking Thunder on Sunday should be interesting. I'm predicting the under since both teams will be doing everything they can to lose.

Really!? As a Lebron fan I'd hope the Lakers would try to avoid them at all costs. I'm watching the Mavs vs Raptors on my laptop and the score came up at the bottom of the screen and the Rockets are winning 112 to 101:eek: however 6 mins remaining. Can you layout the bracket for me in which the Clippers are trying to avoid us?

After the loss tonight and the Denver win the Clippers fall to 4th. The Lakers will probably finish 7th (maybe 6th). Either one puts them on the other side of the bracket from the Clippers if the Clippers can stay in that 4th spot.

It will be tough game on Sunday though, the Thunder will be fighting tooth and nail to give the game to the Clippers.

It's impossible now to have Lakers clippers in the first round as Denver has tiebreaker over clippers. For the Lakers to finish 6th the nuggets have to win against the Blazers which would automatically give the nuggets the three seed.

Yes but with the loss to Houston the Clippers can more than likely avoid the Lakers until the WCF if they can lose to OKC.

All I want is for the Mavs to play the Clippers in the first round. I think Luka and co can send them packing.

Damn, nearly lost another. The Dubs can really make a pig's ear of the end of a game.

Why do Clippers want to avoid Lakers? Small time move especially as I feel they have the Lakers number. And you want to play the Lakers the sooner the better for me. Doesn't give LeBron and AD time to get back into a rhythm.

They're a small time franchise to be honest.

It's the Clippers, that says it all.
