I think if no changes were made to the squad you'd be right, but if Swansea do get promotion there's no way that money won't be spent. Since relegation to the championship three seasons ago Swansea have made a profit of about 90m from player sales. Poor management from the owners (I'm sure many on here can sympathise) has meant the club hasn't been able to spend money, and has relied on cheap punts, academy players and brilliant managerial work from Potter and Cooper. If Swansea got promotion it would help the financial side of things massively, and there would be a lot of incomings, and thanks to Cooper's connections a clever loan or two.
If Swansea were promoted and spent no money, then you'd be correct. This team is nowhere near as talented as the team that was promoted in the 10/11 season, and managed to finish 11th in their maiden premier league season. If Swansea do manage to win today, they'll be fully cognisant of that though and will surely try to rectify it with transfers.
