It was alright in the end, served its purpose. Memberberries...and all that.

Glad James Corden wasn’t in it much, he’s now got an American twinge to his accent as if he couldn’t be any more insufferable.

Le Blanc was the best, just really laid back and laughing at innuendos.
Matt Perry was quiet for a lot of it and didn’t react to much.

The celebrity appearances weren’t as cringe as I thought they might be.

Aniston and Cox need to stop with the surgery. They’re starting to look quite plasticky. But feck me the old mid 90’s clips, those two were actual 10/10’s.
The Lady Gaga bit was painful other than that they were OK and not to full on.

It was an easy watch, Chandler didn't seem as close to death as he did in the trailers.

Ross looks like he'll melt if you stand him to close to any kind of heat

Matt looks the best of the bunch by far to be honest. He looks like a guy who has just let himself age naturally, but I don't know if he actually has had work done. Mostly I find the ones who look the best are the ones who have had minimal or no plastic surgery. To me Courtney looks the worst of them all. Not trying to be harsh or anything, but I feel it's such a shame people do this to themselves. I bet she'd look fine as feck if she had nothing done. I wager she probably knows that as well...
Yeah, totally agree with this. There is some serious uncanny valley shit going on with her face. With some expressions she looks normal, and with other she looks like Caitlyn Jenner. A real shame. I always thought she was the fittest of the bunch back in the day.

She had a cameo with Lip in Shameless a couple of years ago and it honestly took me several minutes before I thought "hang on, is that Courtney Cox?"

Who'd have thought that kid in the Springsteen video would go on to all this

Matt LeBlanc seems to be the guy who loved his time on the show more than others. He's aged well and all his answers seemed genuine.

I know Matthew Perry has had issues in the past, but he was way too quiet throughout

They seem to have aged so much, especially over the last 10-12 years. I remember seeing Mathew Perry in 17 again (2009?) and he looks at least 20 years younger there. Matt LeBlanc seemed by the far the nicest, and most attached to the show. Aniston, Cox, Scwimmer and obviously Perry (reiterating his pathological need to be found funny??) all seemed off in one way or another.

Any pesky links I should report to the authorities or is the only way to watch this legally?

Neve have understood the appeal of this show apart from Nostalgia. It used to be on in my house all the time back in the day. We'd all watch it but bleh I felt like 90s had much better shows.
I could still turn on any episode at any time and still get a great laugh from watching Joey and Chandler. Top tier comedy those two. They'll never not be funny to me.

The earlier seasons where genuinely very enjoyable and the fact the show was able to be funny while reaching a massive audience was really impressive(It's still miles better than the mainstream comedies that came after it). Also they deserve massive credit for turning the show into complete unfunny dogshit as soon as the character started having children.

Enjoyed this, went in with low expectations but it was good to watch. Matt Le Blanc seems like a very cool guy. Hope Perry can overcome the issues because he does not look healthy.

I’m really pleased LeBlanc is that guy. I can’t remember who it was but I remember someone on the radio years ago saying that Matt LeBlanc was their most disappointing celebrity interview because they were expecting Joey and he was in a more serious film role trying to distance himself from Joey and came across as super serious and arrogant and all his jokey questions fell completely flat.

On a side note, why am I spending my Friday night talking celebrity gossip in a F.R.I.E.N.D.S thread?

Probably for the same reason you spelled it out with all the full stops.
That was really frustrating actually but I started it and was determined to finish it.

This was better than I expected. I liked the recreated sets and the fact that they let the cameras roll while filming the interaction between cast members while the cast members walked around the sets reminiscing about the old days.

The celebrity appearances were kept minimal, so they didn't bother me as much as I thought they would. The appearances of ancillary stars was good to see. Tom Selleck, the man who played Gunther, the woman who played Janice, and the old couple who played the Geller parents all made apprerances.

Is anyone surprised at how little the main cast members seemed to know or remember about the show, especially in comparison to die hard viewers who can recite dialogue of scenes by heart? The fact that nobody knew Heckles' name was a little baffling.

Really enjoyed it actually. After seeing the guest line up I thought it was going to be horribly OTT but they got it right.

What a ride that must have been for them.

It was actually very well done, surprisingly so. Much better than any episode they could have done. Matt Le Blanc seems like a cool guy especially, and Aniston came across much more relaxed than she normally does.

Only negative was the pointless interviews with Beckham and other random celebrities. Who cares if they like to watch Friends in their spare time?

And Cara Delivigne really shouldn't have agreed to go on a stage next to Cindy Crawford.

One of the best shows ever. Kinda sad that American comedies went from this to trash like it's always sunny.

As far as reunions go, it was brilliant. Good mix of cameos, interviews, BTS, thought processes of creators, casting process, table reads and just the six of them having a good old reminisce.

Le Blanc has a great memory! And the table reads were really fun.

Everyone saying leblanc seems like a cool guy and I agree. Having watched his performance in episodes I always thought he must be a good laugh since you can't do a role like that without enjoying mocking yourself.

Enjoyed the reunion more than I expected. Was pretty sad seing Mathew Perry looking so unwell. Seeing them looking old intercut with them young made me feel pretty melancholy about our fleeting existence before death.

Matt LeBlanc was funny though!

Anyone else clock the number of Monica and Rachel’s apartment change?
In the early episodes the Apartment numbers were 4 and 5. They changed them later to 19/20 as it dawned on the production staff that there numbers would be higher considering the views they had. And to be honest, thats the least of the inconsistencies of the show. Ross for example was born in March, October or December. He was also 29 for 2 or 3 years. Joey is the youngest, but turned 30 before Rachel. Rachel has at least a 12 month pregnancy. She was Also an Aquarius that was born in May... And then theres Phoebe who was raised by a lousy father that sung her songs as a baby that would influence her number one hit 'smelly cat' before he ran out on her mother before Phoebe and Ursula were born...

And I just realised Ive watched this show too much over the years.
