You should have trusted your initial instincts, this match is suddenly a lot more open than it looked like being when Tsitsipas took the second set.
I should have done! Saw some of the opening two sets and it looked pretty comfortable for Tsitsipas, not sure what changed as I'm not watching it but Zverev starts serving well and it's tough for anyone to play against.

Hopefully Djokovic can make it entertaining at least, would be nice if he takes the first set so we get an actual match.

If I had to choose my poison for the final I'd have to go with Tsitsipas - a bit more energy and capable enough to potentially pull an upset.

Yeah this match and tournament is over. We'll never see someone as dominant on a surface again as Nadal is on clay.

You know how in table tennis you can't wear the same colour as the ball? Why is Nadal allowed to wear tennis ball yellow? Just seems a weird thing.

That first game turned out to be cruical. Djock never recovered after that. Too hard to see him making a comeback after this.

An on fire Nadal on clay is the most dominant thing in sports.

Well apart from that wheelchair tennis player who's never lost a set in her career.

Edit: I said while he gets broken by a double fault. Im Nostradamus.

1 set all, and Rafa must be kicking himself. He really shouldn't have lost that second set. A plethora of chances to level the set and he squandered every one of them with some shockingly tight play.

He has to forget the last set and start fresh. It's a 3 set match and he's been the better player overall.

Just noticed Del Potro is ranked #503 in the world. WTF ?
Knee injury after knee injury.

Not sure he even played a match in the last year, not sure how the ATP list is handle due to Corona.

That's the best thing for the match, I reckon. Djokovic can't run away from Nadal on this court, but Rafa sure as hell can.

This match is insanely high quality

I don’t think I’ve blinked for over an hour now!!

Turkey vs Italy was not remotely an option this evening

Djokovic just seem to be able to pull off these sort of daylight robbery games/sets when the opponent is playing better.

An exhausting 5 setters here would suit Tsitsipas just fine though.

It is funny when compared to someone like Medvedev the other night bouncing it once and then tossing. Then again these 2 have 38 slams between them so must be doing something right.

i'm switching between this and football, and every point is deuce or break point. they need some serve bot skills to sort this out

Been amazing, we are blessed in this era.

Federer is the best ever player ability wise.

Djokovic is the best player ever I think.

That miss at 30-0 up serving for the set will cost Djokovic this match. Poor.

There’s very little argument against Novak if he wins this..... it kind of does little for Nadal except move him ahead Slam wise.

But then again, Nadal almost certainly beats Tsipitas.... Novak I’m not so certain and it’d be hysterical if his 2 wins over Nadal led to 2 runners up.

These guys were born to play each other. The sheer amount of iconic matches they have put on is insane.
