I'm sure that Cakir has been linked with Premier League clubs previously, he is wank.

I like Belotti. Not an elite striker but I think he's a good player.

Comfortable evening for Italy. Turkey as shite as they've looked. Fat, tired, old and unfit. How can a midfield get look so gassed in the first half?

Affraid of being found out?
More like afraid of the epic level of beatdown we're gonna inflict on the rest of europe. They gonna call the UN to stop us at this rate :D

Turkey getting stuffed and it's not even Christmas/Thanksgiving.

Turkish delight for Italy.

I'm more surprised by how poor Turkey are than how great Italy are. Italy have a very good side, but this may create a bit of a false impression.

Probably the best manager in the tournament, when you think about it. Rest are just not good enough for top domestic teams/old
yep, and I also think that NT job really suits him, as he's always been very good at the basics - squad building, general attitude... - while he often got found out when he had to go the extra mile of tactics refinements against top level coaches that work with a group of club players for 200 days per year.
National teams don't allow that for any of his opponents, however good they may be.

No, we're the juggernaut to end all juggernauts, it's just impossible to look decent against us. We'd make 2011 barcelona look like this too

No way.

Italy have been very impressive,

granted Turkey have been poor, but this is a Turkey team that many had as a team to a reasonable distance.

A fantastic performance by Italy, with players still to get into the side such as Verratti.

Italy started slow but it's so difficult to create something when the opponent has no interest in anything other than defending really deep. Fair scoreline now.

Turkey have been so bad, the Italians could of played with 10 men and won, they look very unfit,
Italy will win group but not a chance of winning it
Any particular reason why not? They have a very very good defence and keeper, a top midfield. Attack might be the biggest problem (despite this scoreline) but I fancy them to keep a fair few clean sheets.

Also Verratti to come back

However, 0-0 at halftime and Cengiz Under in to attack Florenzi’s flank prove Turkey had an actual plan, and they started the second half quite smoothly. It only went tits up for them after Agent Demiral’s own goal, they really had no plan B.

Wonder if the format influences some teams' ambition in games like this? With the four best third place finishers going through, a few draws might be enough for some sides. Would encourage a more conservative approach from a side like Turkey maybe.
