This thread is designed to celebrate the greatest goals of the tournament.

Already two contenders:

Yarmolenko (UKR) vs The Netherlands:

Schick (CZ) against Scotland (0-2):

Just before the Holland game I was moaning we hadn’t had any bangers yet, usually had a couple by that point in the tournament it feels like.

Then two in two games:drool:

Schik’s the best so far for me.

The bend on this. Keeper had to get his head screwed back on.

Justice for Lainer's goal yesterday.

I'd have it above Yarmelenko's ... both the pass and the finish are brilliant.

Yh Agreed, I'd have this as No2 behind the banger from today. Technique on the flat pass is so difficult to do.

Oh, I missed that one. Thanks!

Everyone: feel free to add videos if I miss any (work doesn't allow me to watch every single game)

Lainer and Yarmolenko scored great goals indeed, but the two combined aren't nearing what Schick did yesterday...

Schick's goal yesterday was incredible. Gets better each time you see it.

Could be the best halfway-line goal I've ever seen.

I can’t see there being a better goal than Schick’s. One for the ages.

Totally agree. I could not believe John Hendry was gettling schtick for his ambitious shot bouncing the way it did - that was just unlucky, but the goalie was too far out. I suppose it is the modern way: sweeper-keepers. However, leaving both of those things aside, the shot itself was magical and I'm sorry to have to say this, because I'm half-Scottish so I was hoping the Scots would get a 1:1 - the comedy way the keeper ended up like a fish in a net at the back of the goal just added to its brilliance. I can watch it over and over for laughs alone.

Lainer's goal is my favourite so far. Just a beautiful goal in every way.

Schick's is easily the winner, and unless something very special happens, it will remain the goal of the tournament.

Apart from the ones mentioned already, honorable mention to Ronaldo's last goal. Give-and-go masterclass.

Schicks will win without a doubt. Competition for 2nd place already. Yarmolenko's and Ronaldo's were both class.

Schtick's goal was the best I've seen from that distance (Jair Benitez had a good one for FC Dallas in 2013) but wtf was the keeper doing that far out?

I know Schick's goal is an incredible piece of skill, but nothing beats a great team goal imo. De Bruyne's was just poetry in motion

Modrić goal so far top 3.

Outside foot, perfectly placed.

Can't think of a player outside of him and Quaresma who could pull it off.

Nelinho

Feck it, found a whole video of them. Julian Joachim is in there, remember seeing that at the time and thinking it was one of the best goals I'd ever seen.

This one was pretty good too, the EC hasn't disappointed so far:

The Benzema (1st) goal is now number one for me. Absolutey incredible first touch that takes a world class footballer to pull off. Outrageous.
