Has Ole been spotted at any of the Euro games?

Come to think of it I can’t think of any club managers that have been spotted.

Loving the way he's coached England this summer.
Was going to post the same thing :)
Bar the Greenwood September situation, I genuinely think Ole and Southgate share a vibe and similarities.
Rashford, Maguire, Shaw and Greewnood in terms of squad injury and handling, show a co-operation which bodes well for our players and Ole

Can you really blame him though? It wasn't long ago that people were complaining he was just smiling all the time.
Well, now it's too little. Man that unhappy can't be my manager, tbh.

Distracts me, because every game I begin to wonder if he suffers with constipation.

For those who think better players = great football and success, this England team is throwing a massive spanner in your argument

Southgate as out of his depth as Ole.
This is ageing quite well, I must admit

People say we need Sancho, Kane and Rice. We'll England have all that plus more and still play like us. Better players don't mean success or even entertainment. That's my point.
You sure about that?

So what you are saying, is that the players we have don't matter as long as we have a good enough manager?

I mean that's absolutely fantastic news. The club can now fire Ole, hire the Pochettino and reinvest its money into social programs for the greater Mancheter area instead of using it on player purchases.

As expected, and I'm really happy with it. Shows that everyone in the club is pulling in the same direction.

We all know that the contract doesn't matter much if results go down the drain, but I think this is much better than going into a season with a manager on an expiring contract.

That said, I don't think I remember seeing extension options that often on manager contracts?

Hopefully it wont go down like last time when he signed as a permanent manager back in 2019 March, Any idea why we won only 2 matches out of laast 9 matches and finished outsdie 4

We have an insanely expensive squad, just signed Sancho and have Varane waiting in the wings… yet we’re nine times your money to win the league. Nine! I think that says absolutely everything about the current manager and why he shouldn’t be for a club of this size. It’s a huge fiasco, but things have changed - there is nothing left from Sir Alex’s heritage and we’re a corporation with different goals, winning the league or CL certainly isn’t the main and most important target. Very sad.

I wouldn’t even take the 9 . That’s how crazy it is

Managers have the most volatile job in the football indústria. Anything more than two years is excessive imho, even for a club legend.

Do you think we would suddenly become favourites to win the league by changing the manager to whoever it is you want?

This club is about as far away from a fiasco as it’s been in the post-SAF era. Short memories.

It's dangerous to give out such a long term contract, but his performance has been pretty consistent. We've reached so many more semi finals than those before him in the post Sir Alex era, it's just unfortunate that we've not been able to get over the line.

Another trophy-less season and he'll be under immense pressure though, and with two years left it'd be another expensive sacking. I'm sure he'd have taken another two years.

Today is meaningless but should serve as another reminder. For us to achieve anything meaningful, the quality of our football needs to improve drastically.
We allow teams that don't have anywhere near the quality we do play. It has to stop, we have to.learn to.impose ourselves on teams and not always find a way to come down to their level.

This is my biggest fear and my biggest problem with him. He hasn't really developed our play. When he misses his best players, we can lose to any side in the world. There is no stability, we don't play the same way regardless of the players on the pitch. There is no ground stability in our football.

I wish posts like these would keep to facts and not invent things to be unhappy about to fuel their own negativity.

He’s reached 4 semi finals’ to Mourinho’s 3. And Mourinho got two trophies out of it. And at least when Jose got far in the Europa it wasn’t because we went out in the group.

Honestly it’s quite embarrassing to read the semi final finishes being praised, especially when not one of them came in the Champions League. The standards of the club have gone.

It is a two season contract. Do clubs give one season contracts to managers.

I mean, it's not that long term is it. It's a good length actually. Nothing stupid where you've tied yourself up in knots if things go bad, and you've left yourself some room and can extend if things go well. He was always going to have all of next season anyway. So that's one season down.

Isn't it 2024+1?

I think 3 years plus an additional year at our discretion is a bit generous. I guess time will tell but we could quite conceivably finish outside of the top four, and fans will demand a change given the investment this summer. 2+1 would be more than fair imo
