Hope he goes all the way to the final and win it
Let’s not forget he is playing to win an Olympic medal and you cannot put a price on that.

Yeah he played well today. Created some good chances, already responsible for some of their freekicks.
Thought he stepped up as one of their leaders today, arguing with German players almost twice his size right in front of the ref.

I'd love to see him start in the Quarter-final, which will be against whoever wins Group C. And at this point it could be either Spain, Argentina, or even Australia if they beat Egypt and Spain/Argentina is a draw, or Argentina beats Spain by fewer goals than Australia beats Egypt. (At this point even Egypt can qualify if they beat Australia and Spain beats Argentina.)

Bizarre that people don’t think he’s ready. Don’t really care if he’s still a bit small, his brain works miles faster than some of our more senior players already
It is just laughable, the same old stereotypes every time. "He gets pushed around too much/easily".

I actually think he's the biggest talent at the club along with Sancho, it is about time we use him.

Wonderful talent, so composed on the ball.

Hoping he'll properly break through in the second half of this season

I think he should replace Mata in the squad.

Sancho/Amad
Bruno/VdB
Rashford/Martial
Cavani/Greenwood

Can't decide whether he'd benefit from a loan. If not we need to find a way to give him 20 games this season - too much talent and potential to not be playing.

Special talent this lad. Not sure he'd be the man in the 2 season but he needs to be in and around the 18.
Tough one though, his competition will be Sancho and Bruno +Greenwood/James. Not ready to dislodge them right now. They

Looking forward to seeing him more involved this season in the CL, Cups and sub appearances. The following season will be his true breakout year imo, but I'd be very disappointed if we send him on loan, he's already far better than James imo and he's good enough to be a squad player. He's a very special talent.

We either sell James and Lingard and give Amad all those rotational minutes, or we send him on loan. I’m going to be furious if Amad ends the season with another 600~ minutes of football.

My opinion might slightly differ from yours with him as in comparison to James. I believe him to be a better talent or have a longer term career with us but right now James might be of better use to the squad 21/22 season due to functionality.

If he's bought to be played on the right wing, I'd be dissapointed to see James / Pellistri play any games over him right now, even with the latter's performance last friendly. Has to be behind Sancho and playing in cup games and coming on as a sub regularly.

Excited about this one and some of the turns are exemplary

I know we semi joke about it, but those last 2 dribbles really were Messi like. The way he baits the defender in then quickly drops his shoulder to the left and dances passed them, beautiful.

His vision on the ball is fantastic too, him and Sancho will really enjoy playing together IMO.

I honestly think James only offers pace. He's so below par in everything else. Due to his pace it makes sense why lower Prem teams might be interested in him but really we should be controlling most games against the vast majority of teams anyway. The few games where his pace would be useful is against the best teams but he simply lacks the ability to be effective in these instances. Imo, even now Amad could offer us more against weaker teams than James could.

He offers defensive contribution too, not that I value it as highly as some do. It's definitely a key consideration for Ole and his coaches.

Basically, I expect to see him involved in games where we anticipate the opposition playing a high line and leaving space for us to counter (city away).

I honestly don't believe defensive contribution is an area where we are lacking. I could really only point to Pogba and Martial as players who don't press as much they should. Amad always worked hard and pressed players in the few games he did play for us so I don't really see that as a major factor (for a team where players don't press enough I agree it would be taken into consideration)

I dont mind it if he's on lowered wages. I do mind that players like Lingard, Pereira, James, Dalot, Jones etc are still on our payroll though.
I doubt any European club would have him from even half the wages he has been on recent years, just charity. But I guess we can't classify his good vibes.

Him, Sancho and Hannibal seem like they could be dangerous together. Actually I think VDB would really work with Sancho and Amad as well, they all love quick give and go's. And you'd hope that Amad and Sancho's creativity would make up for the loss of Bruno's (if he was rested or injured) so having Donny in wouldn't be an issue.

Oh I think Amad is more palatable as a player in all sense. Just think James is better option when we want to close games off and Amad is much better option when we we want to break them. Seeing we'll already have Sancho ahead of him, most subs I'd expect would be to see the games out. That's why I said for this season.

Yep, now that DVB has had a year to get his fitness up and get used to the physical style of the league I think he will be good this year. He showed against Wolves that he's more than capable of holding his own against a good level PL midfield.

If we do play 4-3-3 him and Sancho on the right triangle could play some lovely football.

He's got to be on the bench at least this season. Perfect player to bring on against tired legs.

it's a shame Dan James will get more games than this guy, he looks an exceptional talent, ready to play the right wing at least in cups and lesser games.

I’m not convinced he will. James has more experience, that’s why he was trusted more last season. Amad is better, he will play himself in to the team this season. Say what you want about Ole’s tactics, but he knows a player when he sees one, and he picks his best team.

I think a loan would do him good this season , I can’t see him getting much playing team this season tbh.
