They want to ensure the fans that the club was handsomely compensated. There's more to PR than transfer strategy. You often see the selling club disclose the fee (provided it was high) in order to appease their stakeholders. United did with Ronaldo back in the day too.
You don't think they already knew?

If they did then all the selling clubs did too and there'd be no point keeping it secret.
By telling everyone it's a release clause and exactly how much then other clubs know they received it in a lump sum presumably.

And if they try and sign anybody else?
they seem to have concluded their summer business, the guy said so in the video just now.

they got Watkins, Buenida, Ings, Trarore, the Egyptian duo, and Wesley. enough depth in the attack

Edit: forgot Baily

Chelsea want 40 million Pounds for Tammy Abraham. If Villa are really keen, then yeah, they have no chance of negotiating that down.
They still can. If the player wants to go there, and no other clubs can afford his wage demand, while Chelsea need to move him to make room for their new forward.

In attack yes, they are in the market for other players that are not attackers. They are interested in Tuanzebe...

How so? He stated there was a release clause of 100mm which Grealish / City exercised and it boiled down to Grealish wanting to play CL football now.
Letting every other club know they just received £100 Million as a lump sum. Not add-ons, no payment structure. etc.

Good luck negotiating for any players in the next 6-12 months...

Why does he specify their transfer strategy and the fee? Surely the selling clubs will try to rinse them now that they understand Villa have 100m in the bank?
He also says that they've already signed the players that will replace Grealish. He cites the signings of Bailey, Buendia and Ings as 3 players who will replace the attacking output of one Jack Grealish.

Yeah, that's a big mystery what the release clause might be with every newspaper branding Grealish the 100m pound man....

They've just spent that pretty much before finalising the sell. I think any communications direct with the fans at a PL club is fantastic. You'd never see our board do something like this.

Now that Villa received 100m, could we offer them Lingard, Pereira, Dalot?

I don't think it matters in the long run. The people involved in such talks would know anyways.

Wow, it looks like Barcelona confirm that Messi won't continue with them any longer.

Jesus. I knew it was a possibility but its still shocking to see it actually happen.

Barca blaming "structural obstacles"- La Liga is beyond comical. Like its a bad thing having regulations to prevent Barcas financial stupidity

Well, no, because as he said in the video they'd already replaced Grealish with three players, so, the money spent on Grealish's replacement(s) was finalised prior to Grealish leaving for City.

Admins should also be strict for those who are part of the wankfest that happens whenever Fridge posts a tweet.
