I think the confusion has come because Camavinga shared Brandon Soppy’s post on his own IG story. But he’s clearly just wishing his teammate all the best

Haven't watched him play. Is camavinga genuinely good enough to start for UTD?(I mean just better than Fred doesn't mean much)

Average last season and not got going this one either. He was benched yesterday. If we sign him there’s no guarantee that he walks straight into the side when everyone is fit.

Well, it does TBF. Fred isn't anywhere near as bad as posters make out. He's not brilliant by any means but the thread as in, 'Is he the worst player etc' are a gross overreaction.

Camavinga is highly rated but it's hard to judge on this early season. He clearly wants to leave and Rennes are rightly being firm with the player. He didn't start yesterday and I don't know if he came on. If it were up to me, I'd sooner go for Tchouameni who would start for Utd

Stats-wise they're not too far apart and it's Tchouameni who eclipses them (and from there one has to look at any underlying factors to really answer questions like 'does Fred/Camavinga having similar numbers mean anything considering the clubs they play for, the level of opposition they face etc etc)

I agree I think I'd go for Achoo, especially if the the whole Camavinga's Real-based-reticence thing is true.

Fred doesn't help himself at times but there is some truth in your point.

Our midfield structure is dysfunctional and I don't think it's only down to the personnel

The different names is a bit of a giveaway
I meant too early to tell that the club who purchased Soppy, 'the wrong player', are nitwits.

(also, if you go back in the thread, someone immediately points out that the instagram account belongs to one 'Soppy.brandon' and not Camavinga)

Can't spell Mkhitaryan
He isn't the right player for us. If we got him we'd be moaning in a month about how we lack a DCM and Ole has ignored the obvious hole in our team.

I can't comment much on this kid, I've not seen him enough. For regular watchers of Ligue 1, what's his game like in compared to McTominay. Because Scott's injury has really rocked us.

Going off his end of last season, Fred is in far better form. Lad is from a farmers league and his form dropped a lot. He‘s got potential to be far better than Fred, but performances aren’t currently backing that potential up. Tchouameni is far far more what we need and as he’s a bit older he’s a lot more consistent.
