Well, Benzema is bettering Cristiano's start to 14/15 which means he's gonna score 51 goals in the league this season and break Messi's record

How far up the list does Karim rank for all time Madrid attackers? Teams been on his back ever since Ronaldo left and nobody else wanted to score goals

Vini has an incredible level of confidence, you can even see it in his face, now he seems to know what to do with the ball, he dares with everything

The post Cristiano basically made his stock skyrocket

Honestly, depends on if we're talking how good he's been or how he ranks among legends. Because if it's the former, he might very well be third or fourth, with only Di Stefano, Cristiano and possibly Puskas ahead of him

But Raul and Butragueno might still edge of him for what they meant to the club. Possibly Juanito as well...

Yeah, this is huge. Early goings, but this might be the season he makes the leap

Great win by Madrid.

We look more vertical and fast, and overall more entertaining team to watch after the woeful display of football from last season. I guess this will be the dynamic throughout the season, with us scoring a lot and conceding plenty too. Great performance from Benzema carrying the team on his back once again. Also good game by Hazard too, who looked more committed this time showing some bits of the player he used to be.

Special mention for Vinicius.

I feel like a kid with a big grin on my face whenever he show these moments of pure individual brilliance. Some of us saw his talent from the very beginning and never stopped believing in this boy. I hope he keeps this mentality and motivation as there is no better partner for Benzema right now.

On the negative side is our defense.

We are prone to defensive mishaps and bypassed with ease. There is a sense we can get open up quite easily and/or caught of position. Our CB’s had an awful game but in Nacho’s defense he had to cover for all the space left by Miguel who´s weakness is his defensive work rate. We had other glaring issues like our disorganized pressing, which created huge gaps and midfield that looked disjointed. At the end of the day, this is not something the players have to solve, but in the hands of the manager and coaching staff and what they want the players to do.

Yep, and Hugo Sanchez should be in the conversation as well.

I must admit, this has become such an underwhelming league to follow. biggest stars are close to 40 and majority of clubs are simply skint.

I watched Atletico - Bilbao yesterday, 0-0. as expected to be fair. Villarreal earlier today also 0-0. Sociedad vs Sevilla 0-0. Madrid vs Valencia is running in the background, obviously it's 0-0 as well. very few reasons to watch the matches these days as a neutral as the football itself really isn't that good.

We’ve come a long way from Benzema swearing on his mother’s life that Vinicius is playing against him

Good game, very intense.
I would bet they ran many kilometers. The result is a bit unfair for Valencia.
I really liked Guillamón. Valencia has changed a lot with Bordalás.
In Madrid Casemiro and Lucas Vázquez very bad, once again the substitutions did well. Hazard meh

Very good win for Madrid that, they usually suffer in Mestalla.

Think they'll win La Liga comfortably.

No, Messi was the best player in La Liga even last season.
Read again. I said Benzema was always LaLiga's best player not named Messi since 18/19.

I never said Benzema was better than Messi.

I like this Camavinga lad, he's very handy to have and today did a good job coming in for Casemiro.

Valencia played a good game with their high pressure and intensity until they ran out of gas. I thought for sure we were dropping points but managed to get a crucial win on a tough ground against an in form Valencia side.

Casemiro’s been awful so far this season, dude needs some rest. I would take the chance in the next two games to rest him and Modric.

Camavinga sure looks promising. Would like to see him playing 90 minutes against Mallorca.

Our fullbacks are so dire and an important issue to solve. Nacho should not play as LB anymore. Either switch it with Alaba or try again with Miguel.

It’s sad to say but Carvajal will never be the player he used to be, injuries are taking a toll on him and it has been very transparent in past seasons. Yet he was renewed. Lucas is just an experiment that worked out fine last season but it shows he isn’t a RB you can rely on.

I don’t know if it is just me, and I know we have all being disapointed, but I’m liking what I’m seeing from Hazard in these few games. He looks more involved in our attack even defensively. His link up play with Benz and Vini is definitely way better.

Camavinga is going to be a special player. That composure at age 18 playing away at Valencia is crazy.
