This video should give you an answer to the question, you are asking the opinion of people that had no clue about how the world worked before Brexit and also had no idea about what Brexit was.

The people who voted Brexit are a stubborn lot. Refusing to accept that these problems currently are a result of it.

In uni, I worked as a security guard for a Sainsbury's megasrtore in Rugby. These feckers used to deliver diesel at 2/3am from God knows where, probably after driving all day. It's an awful job.

I presume when the Brexiters wanted the end of Freedom of Movement they didn't expect petrol rationing to stop their freedom of movement.
Thing is we knew all of this, remember project yellow hammer(That people like Rees Mogg tried to rubbish)?

When you think about it’s absolutely insane what we have done, we have voted to put financial sanctions on ourselves, and we have done all of this essentially because in 2015/16 the tories we’re a little bit afraid of UKIP taking some of their voters.

If pleb means idiot then we agree. But he clearly articulates and summarises what I mostly heard from pro brexit people, it's a serie of lies and half truth. There is no point asking them anything.

Well we are facing staff shortage crisises of our own in many sectors, drivers being one and it has nothing to do with brexit which I'm sure will annoy you. It has to do with piss taking salaries of east eoropens which the courts have ruled must stop

You've got the wrong excuse. It's Covid, only the UK has Covid. Let me know when NL has the same shortages as the UK.

Edit: GB not UK, Northern Ireland are alright.

I got into an argument with someone online (I know, stupid) over the total logistical breakdown that has come from Brexit, as well as pointing out that this had a natural knock on effect to supplies in Supermarkets. The lad was having none of it. He rationalized (used loosely) that it was all fake news, that I needed to go out more and that he hasn't seen any empty shelves. He was basing this on his local Supermarket allegedly being jam packed with items. It didn't matter how many links to official statistics and news reports I provided. It was all fake news. He then suddenly became a lorry driver who not only uses his local supermarket as a gauge, but that he travels up and down the UK and sees no problems

He also claims to have voted to remain which is complete bollox considering he was not only denying the obvious repercussions of Brexit, but was talking about how Trump was the rightful President of the United States. I don't even know why I bother.

Supermarkets have been trying to make it appear that things aren't as bad as they are. Moron leavers will miss this fine detail however. When you start to notice isles widening to cater for less shelving, random stock appearing next to other stock that would never have been placed together 2 years ago, and red wine being stocked in random fridges on the milk isle you know they are pretty much throwing everything and anything on to the floor to make it appear said Supermarket is not struggling.

It's a total disaster, and it is one that so many people predicted. Needless to say they were called every name under the sun for trying to warn the arrogance of Brexit.

Wait for Christmas. No checks are being carried out on EU stocks coming into the UK because the UK don't have the ability to do this. How in the world is that considered taking back control of your borders? It's a smugglers paradise right now. The Tories don't want to check items because it will stand out like a sore thumb and show Brexit for the calamity it is.

Exactly. He's just a public school educated gammon.

I saw this somewhere else but I agree - hardly anyone today (<5%) says they supported the Iraq War at the time, but at the time public opinion was a large majority in favour. Did they forget? Are they ashamed?

We have shortages in every sector, not just drivers. Our latest new hires come from Syria, Turkey and India. There is no one locally
There are some shortages of some products which affect industry because they are purchased from the other side of the world.

There are even shortages of workers in Europe in many sectors as there was before Covid, before Brexit, for many years; it's nothing new.

One bonus of Brexit is that these workers who were working in the UK are now working within the EU so the EU countries gained. There are plenty of trucks from all over the EU delivering. The only trucks you don't see, which you did before are British trucks.

Remember one of the 'reasons' for Brexit, 'they're taking all our jobs' I know half a dozen French truck drivers and their wages are more than double minimum wage.

https://www.theguardian.com/food/20...-deal-says-jair-bolsonaro-brazilian-president

Boris Johnson asked for ‘emergency’ food deal, says Bolsonaro

No 10 denies Brazilian president’s claim but some speculate food item is turkeys for Christmas

It does make sense but then again can Bolsonaro be trusted?
The EU are organising a charity concert to donate turkeys to GB for Xmas. The only condition is that they can only be given to Brits who didn't vote for Brexit. Otherwise the EU could be seen as promoting cannibalism.

Transport secretary Grant Shapps told Sky News:

I’ve seen people point to Brexit as if it is the culprit here. In fact, they are wrong.
Not only are there very large and even larger shortages in other EU countries like Poland and Germany, which clearly can’t be to do with Brexit, but actually because of Brexit I’ve been able to change the law and alter the way our driving tests operate in a way I could not have done if we were still part of the EU.
'Now that we have left the EU, anyone can drive an Artic, another Brexit benefit, whether they are capable or not.' Just don't try to get insured or drive outside the UK.

I really haven't been following this thread or indeed Brexit in the news for quite some time. Honestly I haven't really noticed any impact on my daily life as yet, I am sure others have though.

What kind of issues are people experiencing on a personal level since Brexit? I mean from your own personal experiences.

- A chair I ordered online incurred £70 of customs duties. In the end the retailer reimbursed me.
- Ocado replaced my Vanilla Soy Milk with disappointing regular soy milk
- The German border guards stamped my passport slightly aggressively

Pretty much none for me either aside from a few substitutions in my online grocery shopping. I don't go in store so I don't see empty shelves but I can get nearly all what I want from Asda online. There seems to be a lot of panic buying of fuel today so maybe there will be a gap in supply soon, although with everyone having full tanks I don't imagine it will last too long. I can't help but think all this 'christmas will be cancelled' just the press being the press. The Co-op CEO said 'Christmas won't be cancelled, there will be Turkey but there won't be a choice of 6 sizes of Turkey this year'. That's what it feels like to me stepping outside of the political arguments and hysteria, choice has just been reduced a bit.

Talking to a Brexiteer earlier who was blaming Covid for supply issues & the media for scaremongering. Refuses to acknowledge that Brexit has any part to play in the chaos.
