TAA-City-Chelsea is also going to be a popular option. Having 4 premium defenders is a bit much.

Midfield is interesting. Raph and Mo are locks. Then you have Benrahma, Mbeumo, Saka, ESR, Zaha, Gallagher, Doucoure, Townsend, Gray, Foden, Grealish, Bernardo, Son, Mahrez, Mount and maybe some more.
Benrahma - fixtures are turning, and I doubt you'd want both Antonio + Benny. Fixtures not that good for Everton as well. For City, Mahrez and Bilva are rotation risks. Mount is ok-ish, but fi you want to go triple Chelsea, I'd prefer 2 Defenders+ Rom.

And personally don't like going for 2 sub 6m midfielders as upgrading them becomes a pain, so it's got to be either Mbeumo or none as I don't think Gallagher or ESR have that potential.

Son is an interesting pick, but 2 tough games in next 4

Yeah so for mid I can either go

Mo Raph Son Mbeumo Fodder
or
Mo Raph Foden Grealish Mbuemo

Just feels wrong not to have a City mid for this run, when a couple of them are gonna play as forwards. Same for Mahrez, who usually scores vs Burnley.

But I think in last season James and Chilwell were kinda guaranteed almost every PL game.
Only before Tuchel under Lampard. I think Chilwell got first place back near the end after Alonso had played most games.
Then this season Alonso started the season.

Rudiger and Azpi missed some games, but played a lot. Azpi started playing a lot, but as soon as I brought him in he started gettting rotated.
Probably due to CL which is the case right now as well.

I say if you are buying a Chelsea def you can wait one more week. Then based on who starts vs Malmö you can try to predict who starts vs Norwich.

I got rid of Alonso after one game week!

Back to Taa. Little to no rotation risk and a better player in a more experienced team. Better manager too. Happy to set and forget and leave that money tied up there

Rudi is the way to go for Chelsea once he’s back.

For what it’s worth I think Werner and Jesus are going to get a higher score than Ronaldo this weekend. Leaving Ron in for one more GW as I don’t want to take the hit. Leicester also currently have a poor defence.

Yeah Tuchel loves to rotate his defenders. Did it a lot last season.

Rudiger probably the most safe bet, but he is the worst pick.
I'd argue the safest pick IS the best pick given that you are never going to captain a defender (unless you're a madman).

Clean sheets are bread and butter for your defenders and he's only 3 points behind Alonso who is their highest scoring player at the moment.

Chelsea defence is like Man City attack. Great potential if you pick the right ones but you're gambling and can easily be left with egg on your face.

With the TAA being fit news, I'm considering keeping him and forgetting about Azpi.

I really wanted Raphinha in this week but seems pointless now. I'm happy to take a hit and shift 2 from this pool of players...

Ayling
Shaw
Jota
Greenwood

Dias/Cancelo in for one of those defenders. I guess if Jota is injured he has to go first? Chance a fresh Greenwood starts again and Rashford comes in from the bench for some minutes?

Mids I want - Raphinha, Mbueno (neither particualrly for this week), Saka maybe? Or do I get on the Pep roulette and bring in Foden.

Yes I agree and here I am thinking about Foden. It is really the easiest move to make to do Greenwood to Foden, but it can backfire straight away.
Even if Foden starts this gameweek he might be benched the next one. Thus do I keep or sell him is always a hard choice.

Yeah I plan on maybe getting Toney over Mbeumo. Feel more confident having Toney starting every week.

Much easier to get Mbeumo in though.

Jota is available. He has a really nice fixture but can't help feel he might be benched with Firmino back. I've been thinking about whether to get rid for Foden (he has his own selection issue with pep roullete) since the international break started.

But isn't Firmino likely to be late along with other Brazilians. Especially as Liverpool have the early kick off.

Wait for James news. If he is back then we can expect rotation.
He is the captain and especially if Rudiger is out, Azpi starts 100% whether James is fit or not. Brentford looks like it’s not an easy place to go to so he is going to have Azpi.

Now that Newcastle is well "oiled", should I play ASM against Spurs? Any chance of woken up Newcastle?

This is for my draft team. I play only with differentials every week. So don't ask why the feck I have him :D

Yeah. Literally saw that post after I clicked 'post reply'. I don't think he'll start this weekend but I wouldn't be against holding Jota at all. I think he'll prove excellent value for money come end of season. Mane and Salah away in January, might even be a viable captain option in some fixtures.

I’ve let myself be fooled again by Pep roulette and took Foden who seems to be in great form. He will probably get benched for most of the upcoming games and I will regret it but I can live with that I think.

TAA, Rudiger, Bamford and Lukaku are still yellow for the weekend. I actually don’t care about Lukaku and Rudiger as everyone in my ML has both of them, but I really want TAA and Bamford to play as they are my differentials in MLs and both have great fixtures.

I'm pretty set on having Torres on my WC. Should start up front vs Burnley. Also a million cheaper so lesser damage if he is benched.

If I crack I’m thinking my attacking City punt is going to be Jesus. He’s their highest scoring attacker for fpl points so far. Torres is out. Seems to play in quite a lot of games. Easy fixtures.
It looks certain he'll start.

So most likely he won't.

Pep will play 5 attacking mids, with someone totally random as the front man.
Or he'll squeeze him wide right.

Always dangerous with Pep. But Burnley at home is a 4-0, 5-0 so it is tempting.
Though they do have Brighton and us aways in their next 4, so their fixtures aren't "that" easy.

What about the international schedule, while he make it back in time? City play saturday afternoon.

Mahrez punt is incredibly tempting for this fixture.

Not with that short turnaround from the Brazil game it doesn't.

I think I’ll probably just avoid city attackers. United are going to be similar once Rashford comes back. Martial Rash Greenwood and Sancho heavy rotation risks. Even Ronaldo will be rotated. Give me a nailed starter in the clubs just below any day instead of being brought on for 30 mins

City are such an FF risk - I miss the days of an Aguero set and forget up top. I'm going for KdB and Cancelo for the next few but fully expecting Kevin to break something and Pep to fall out of love with Cancelo.

Cancelo is fine. Who else does he have?
Zinchenko is back I think and there's Walker but I do believe Cancelo is the most likely to start out of those as he can play either side.

But this is Pep, he will probably play Mahrez as left back and Stones as right back
