There’s not really an excuse with the squad we’ve got now. We know the midfield are not great but we are losing games because of defensive errors and a lack of attacking cohesion.

You can lose games if the performance is there and the game plan is still being correctly implemented but we just don’t seem to have one. Ronaldo hasn’t come here for this and will be looking at the individuals around him thinking we should be better than we are.

I know he’s a great professional but I can’t see him accepting this. He surely will be very vocal behind closed doors.

Outside Greenwood, nobody seems to be playing for him at the moment.

When you look at the season, and see a lot of good players getting worse by the game, it can't be just the players. We can discuss tactics for ages, but once the players sense blood, it's over.

I think it started to turn after the Everton draw. With Fergie saying what he said and all these stories about the club sticking with Solskjaer for now in the International break, I think the writing is on the wall for him.

He hasn't. Midweek the majority of the dressing room backed Ole. There'll be all sorts of leaks when he has.
Losing the dressing the room doesn't need to be a dramatic event where the players leak stuff to the press. It can be simply that he no longer is able to influence the players.

Yeah, maybe. Looks very bad now. But there are still a few mitigating factors. Very recently there were plenty players talking up the team spirit. A couple of decent wins will right the ship but in all honesty, I don’t see where those wins are coming from.
It won't right the ship.

We need more than a couple of decent wins.
There is no mitigation at this point.

Every team we play is organised and well drilled. They work as a unit and perform as a team.

We are none of that.

Oles time is up.

A couple of wins won't cover the gaping wound

Oh don’t worry plenty of warning points for those who take it too far. Oles history with the club deserves a bit of respect so let’s stay with constructive criticism and nothing personal please
Oh OK I was just unlucky then. I wouldn't want to speak ill of the guy but I've been in the Ole out camp this season a bit earlier than some on here :)

Ronaldo will not tollerate this.

Watch more stories coming out soon.

Ole has to go now to salvage season.

Haaland won't sign for us no matter how much he likes Ole.

Give Rodgers the job
Rodgers? The guy who constantly fails at the end of the season?

The club, they aren't the first to do this, not realising that someone might be a good caretaker and can steady a ship when there is a lot of discord in the camp, but not realising they do not have the management skills to do anything more than that.

I'm not sure if that's true or not, but we'll find out between now and the 30th of November. We play Atalanta twice, Villarreal away and have Liverpool, Spurs, City, Chelsea and Arsenal in the league (plus Watford). Those games are going to define his reign, and given the way we're playing I'm not hopeful.

I don't think he has. We will see an upturn of form which will show that imo. Bit he's clearly not good enough.

What sort of shit is this? If you have a crap boss who can't motivate you or doesn't inspire confidence then you will always struggle no matter what the profession. It is literally the managers fecking job!

Is this the last line of defending the manager and throwing the players under the bus instead?

I take no pleasure in doing so. Today was my moment to think he can’t possibly get the players onboard now
Yeah it was bad today. Can’t help but keep coming back to the midfield, we are getting passed through way to easy.

Playing Pogba who I defend regularly without a sufficiently defensive enough partner does us no favours but McFred are crap as well. Desperate for a DM, been saying so for 2 years.

I didn't want to say it, but it looked the same to me. It's a gut wrenching feeling knowing that the players you support aren't giving their all, but they might be tired of the same errors every match. That is no excuse to down tools, but it is how the sport is right now, if you can't motivate the team it's on you. A manager is much easier to replace than a squad.

I don't know if that's it (lost the players), but it's not looking good.

Apparently, this year he is not supposed to be challenging for title. Ole still need another year before he can challenge year after next. He also need more time to implement style of play.

If you can't see this you are not Top Red.
The irony is people like Neville keep spouting that we throw our managers away, I actually think we give them too much leeway. Moyes should have been sacked at Christmas imo. A club who hadn't finished anywhere lower than 3rd with sir Alex finished 7th that year. The one thing with Ole was that he actually rebuilt our team unlike the other managers tasked with that job. But its time to go and we can't waste another season.

Erm....... have you seen ole?

I'd rather watch great football & have a chance of winning something than awful football & losing semis & finals

Having the same set up with the same players starting and same players benched probably didn't help make things feel different. This felt the same as that crappy feeling pre international break

David Moyes should have been sacked the moment he went on live TV after drawing with Fulham, boasting about our 44 crosses in that game.

When will it register he's not good enough to manage this exceptional bunch of players? Feck me.
Maybe a few more of these threads, or the presence of a manager that will be a proper fit for United waiting in the wings.

I don’t want the next manager to rip up the squad and start again only for it to fail, that’s the biggest concern. The next manager must be the right one if Ole is to go, I’m not excited by the concept of Conte or Zidane - when will that register with posters like yourself?

Ronaldo and Varane will walk into training every day and probably spend the whole of it rolling their eyes.

It might be time for Ole to go but I'm not too sure about him losing the dressing room.

Its not the first time we've gone on a bad streak under Ole. The best quality Ole has shown in his tenure here is his man management skills. Regardless whether he has lost the squad or not results must improve.

I would've been calling for his head even if we'd won this game. A shambolic performance. We've been outplayed in almost all our games this season.

Yea i have to agree. We could get results against Atlanta and Liverpool, but in the long run we are only going to drop points and not win anything this season. I think he has to go. It has been three years without a style of play implemented so its not going to happen in the future.

Who would you replace him with though? I would go Conte.

Exactly, today wasn't an odd performance or the players lowering their guns.

It was just a normal performance which had us finally punished by the rivals. It was the same against Southampton, Wolves and Villarreal we were just really lucky they weren't clinical at all and De Gea made wonderful saves.

You could tell just by watching them today

the result will just reinforce that
Yup

At the end there Ole looked really unhappy, like a man devoid of ideas.

Personaly I think his tenure has been good so far, he's done so many things right, but since the start of the season it's been going downhill. Looks like he's taken us as far as he can.

I hope he resigns rather than gets sacked, to preserve his status as a legend and keep the goodwill.

Also (whisper it), but i think signing Ronaldo has unsettled the dressing room and Ole is no longer "the boss". We'll need a manger big enough to keep the egos in check.
