We really have got to stop conceding soft goals.

Take the soft goals out of it and we were by far the better side. Actually looked pretty solid for most of the game and created numerous chances first half and second half, always felt we could win it.

Agree and disagree on what you say here. Yes totally agree its paperin gover huge cracks that result.....but 20/30mins every game we actually do often....its usually the first 10-15mins and another similar spell when we go a goal down.

We have so many attacking options to use from the bench that a high press with intensity should be deployed far far more than it is an dcertainly far more organised rather than just a couple of players doing so. Also we shoulnt have to go a goal down to play a high tempo game, yes our midfield is piss poor in terms of transitioning but that front four should generate more than it does intensity wise
Not at the level of that second half for me. I don’t think we start games that well either. You’ll have to direct me to the games this season where we started at rip roaring pace because I don’t remember any.

On a side note .
This game was identical to Mourinhos 3-2 comeback win over Newcastle. The similarities are actually incredible.

You sound like a mercenary, time to collect a paycheck somewhere else.

I don't know how I sound like a mercenary. I've made my peace with us not being the Fergie era United and I'll continue rooting for the club as I've always done. What does that even mean, mercenary? If you mean a glory hunter, I'd be having my City kit on right now or my order for the Newcastle kit is on it's way.

I have to agree with Scholesy here. This defensive performance will not do against Liverpool

He'd find like-minded folk on here. Half the replies are joyless cnuts being semi-peeved that a great comeback has derailed the misery train.
It’s unreal. We have to play our way out of our form and everyone knew we were struggling before tonight. There’s so much to take away from tonight that are there to be analysed but it’s being ignored

Ole manages to do just well enough to ensure he stays but we don't win anything.

Incredible second half though, shame the excitement was all for the third group stage match and not a semi or final.

Monitoring the preparation of the Vidal bid
Scholes pretty disgusted with that first half, and ultimately lucky comeback (by virtue of a squad worth 20x as much money).

He's right, we are terrible half the time, no signs of anything getting better.

I get some people are happy, but this just kicks the can down the road.

I give up with some of the comments on here.

We thoroughly deserved that I'd hate to think what it would be like in here if we lost.

I want ole gone as much as the rest of you but ffs if you can't enjoy a comeback like that why do you follow football.

I mean there was an era before Fergie that wasn't too dissimilar to the current one no? The first part of Fergie's tenure was pretty bad too from what I remember.

That's why it sounds like you just picked up United when they started winning, like a mercenary would.

Shit 1st half, excellent 2nd half, this is the definition of inconsistency...

And rightly so, Scholes is saying 1st half stuck with him, Pool and City will punish us early if we play as we did in the 1st half.

Not reading previous stuff. We could have scored 6 today. That's not even doing the usual counting every SOT. That would have been we could have scored 8.

Superb on the ball, still plenty of problems off it.

A night to enjoy. If you can't, don't bother.

That was a good performance through the game to be fair. Best we've played since Ronaldo's second debut.

Defensive lapses were poor and their second should have been chalked off for a foul. The guy really shoved Scott from the spot where the ball landed.

McGuire's goal, why with the original corner did we only have 2 players in the box, when we are losing 1-2 ?

relying on individual performances once again against a very average under strength Atalanta side.

No tactics, Ole needs to go.

They'll tell you you're not looking at the bigger picture. That only more misery can purge the current misery before a new manager comes in and miraculously makes everything amazing.

The whole business of enjoying a win is meaningless to these cnuts. What's the point in even watching?

It’s not being miserable. A turning point tonight would have been a 1-0 win where we were in total control and kept Atalanta at arms length. We continue to look hopeless in defence. We scraped by the 6th placed team in Italy after being 2-0 down and with half their first team missing.

The result is great. Very glad that our CL hopes are not hanging in the balance. However, after saying ‘something might need to change’ we proceeded to change precisely nothing.

Incredibly sloppy at both ends. Poor defending in situations that shouldn't have been dangerous, and loads of missed chances with poor finishing.

We're not actually a bad team this season, but we've been so so sloppy which has cost us in multiple matches so far this season.

Pretty hard to support a team when I could barely muster enough brain cells to tie my shoelaces. But you do you, man.

I'm just not excited anymore. I wasn't surprised we went down 2-0 and I was not that excited about the come back. Why? I want to see good football and I'm not seeing that. The last half I enjoyed the football was the 1st vs West Ham.

It was a good comeback win that had it all. Relentless pressure, well taken goals and an excellent double save by De Gea.

I could have done very well without Robbie Savage's repeated remarks about neck muscles, though.

What a great match that turned out to be.

You must see how the pattern repeats though? Ole under pressure and he picks up a result to save his job again. Team go behind yet again and they stage another great comeback. You don’t get away with it every week.

With Ole it never quite gets bad enough for him to lose his job. But will it ever get any better?

Can he take us from a 70pt team to a 95pt team cos that’s what we need to win a league.

So you didn't see any difference in our intensity, and even Ronaldo trying to sprint to find his defensive position?
