Raphinha captain?
I kinda like this. Just worry that hes gonna taken off after 70. Plus, Jiminez is also an okay option in that game. Wolves are just so uninspiring though. Capping one of their players sorta smells. Who can get excited about that?

I, like many, am considering taking a hit to do foden - havertz. That's gonna blow in my face though isn't it? Especially since Foden will play and possibly score points.

just telling myself early kickoff, early kickoff. In regards to Kai. Maybe Norwich have the game of their lives. Can happen.

What's the likelihood of James starting?
@Dirty Schwein knows the exact amount of minutes he will play.
You fecker

If James is to ever start, it has to be this game right?

Although I doubt he'll play the full 90. Which is fine so long as he gets to 61 mins.

But know my luck with Chelsea defenders, he'll start and get injured before the 61st minute and it'll be another big fat 1 point haul from him

Yeah, they are a crap team but have kept two CS in a row and Chelsea are missing two first teams stikers. Could be another of their win from set pieces or a random fb goal. Havertz still a very good shout regardless mind.

Played my wild card - this is my team for the week:

McCarthy
TAA - Chillwell - Christiansen - White (Livramento)
Raph - Salah - Havertz - Foden (Mbueno)
Toney - Kane (Dennis)
I think it’s a good team. Biggest decision for me is Son / Vardy vs Havertz / Kane.

Reading some of the other responses you’ve got, I don’t think you necessarily need to get Hwang given you’re going to want to play Mbeumo most weeks given Brentford’s fixtures. I’d be tempted to save the money and get a City defender.

I’ve captained Salah nonstop. But not for this match.

Easy to say “can’t lose… either he doesn’t score (good for real game) or if he does, at least you get FF points”.

No, all in. Not captain and hope he pulls his hamstring in first minute
Who else then?

I'm thinking:
Raphinha at Home vs Wolves
Antonio at Home vs Spurs
Vardy away at Brentford
Azpi at Home vs Norwich
Mbeumo at Home vs Leicester
Livramento at Home vs Burnley (can we captain a bench player?)

Are you even a Utd fan if you captain Salah this weekend? Having him in my team is bad enough but captaining against my own team is just not doable I'm sorry.

Hopefully Shaw has a blinder and keeps him quiet.

The way Salah is playing, and the way Shaw is playing, should tell you the liklihood of that happening!

Their manager will inexplicably start Azil at right wing back, instead of playing James there, when he'd be as good as a winger all game.

There's zero indication James will come in, we're relying on hope.
However, if he did start he could be a 12 point merchant.

The history of this fixture tells me form means jack s*** though. It's a Derby game and both teams will be mindful of the other which is why we have had so many low scoring games against them. Klopp has won once at Old Trafford in 5 years (7 games)

And Shaw put in his best ever defensive performance against Salah, back when he was generally a bit pap

Ahh forgot to transfer out Lukaku and now he's gone down £0.1m. May as well just wait for the press conferences to hear the extent of his injury and other players' fitness before making my move now.
Exactly the same position as me. Was not expecting him to go down within about a day of him getting injured!

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"

Exactly. People who captain Salah v United are on a par with that idiot who started the “I hope we lose v Atalanta” thread :)

I remember the game two (?) years ago, Shaw not playing that well but marked Salah out of the game. I have no reservations with Shaw marking ability, just whether he’s told to attack (which would be stupid given their right flank) and him being switched on 100% and not having one of his brain fart moments like Everton match.

We've seen loads of grindy tight 0-0 affairs over the years against Liverpool with far worse teams than we've had now. I know our defending has been atrocious this season but we haven't played against anyone yet that we'd normally sit back and look to counter against which I think we'll do this weekend.

I'm bringing in Havertz and captaining him because like I said I'm more of a fixtures over form guy anyway.

It's done. Havertz and Mbuemo in for Jota and Greenwood (-4). The troops for GW9...

Sa
Cancelo Rudiger Tierney
Salah (vc) Mbeumo Havertz (c) Sarr
Antonio Ronaldo Jimenez

Subs : Steer, Allan, Duffy, Williams

£1.4m in the bank.

Seen multiple predicted lineups without Chilwell and I am just not sure if I want to risk it. Think I go for Raphinha for Benrhama and then reevaluate next week which Chelsea defender to get long term.

Chelsea def is a pure nightmare. Could also bet on Reece James, but not sure I want to do that.

If we get a leaked Arsenal lineup and Tierney isn't in it then I'll be taking another hit to bring in Chilwell, Azpi or Dias.

Mendy
Dias White Shaw (yes I somehow still own him)
Salah Mbeumo Townsend Havertz (C)
Hwang Antonio Ronaldo (VC)

Subs: Foster, Saka, Duffy, Williams

Not sure about captaining Havertz. But I came to the conclusion that Salah can stick the armband up his a**** when he plays United.:wenger:

I think it's time to take Ronaldo out of my team, hopefully it has the jinx effect on him and he actually starts scoring in the league

Thinking of putting Vardy in

Oh ffs. Just seen that Jimenez only started training today and is a late call as to whether he plays tomorrow or not. You put your feet up mate. Don't let my fpl team mess up your international jet setting.

So yes went with Raphinha. Bielsa is much easier to predict than Tuchel. No Chelsea players going to burn me though.
