With the quality of the squad there are zero excuses. It's sad, nobody wanted it to end like this, but end it must.

Has Conte ever played with a back 4 too?

If yes it's a no brainer.

I'd like to see a poll of who here is convinced the club will sack Ole and who, like me, are currently worried about us sticking with him till the end of the season.

Why wait until the end of the season?! Cheating the fans, the season is still salvageable.

No manager is worse than him. Moyes wasn't even given half the backing or time and it's crazy to say that.

He has been given +440m and close to 3 years and achieved feck all. Won nothing, didn't challenge for any shit and got embarrassed by Liverpool and Spurs at home.

He's the manager who was backed the most and achieved the least among all United managers post Fergie. He splashed far more money than Moyes, LVG and Mourinho, and was given the most time out of them and for what ? We're in his 3rd year, 7th in the table, 8 points away from the top and Liverpool celebrated a historic victory at Old Trafford with their fans chanting our manager's name wanting him to stay, and our fans left early embarrassed.

By far the worst manager post Fergie. I want to ever forget he has managed us.
The club wont react. The season is gone as they will give him time to reach top 4. That is our standard

Dig up stupid!
He's not getting sacked this week

Another performance like this at spurs, maybe

A third on the trot against City then almost certainly

Old Trafford is losing patience sharpish, which is quite rare. No way this continues all season.

Dear God I've just heard his post match interview. Please just go.

Again bigging up the coaches. Maguires was equally tragic talking about coming together though did at least have the decency to apologise to the fans

We all know the club won't react, but they absolutely should. As I say I wouldn't have renewed him but Leicester should have been the absolute curtain call

Had by far the easiest start to anyone in the league and we're 7th, level on points with Arsenal

Thing is, this season is still salvageable if we act right now. That's what makes it all the more infuriating.
Everton home really should've been his last game and we should've been on the lookout for a new manager after the YB defeat.

Tonight just confirms one thing, we are not a football club we are just one giant billboard playing reality TV for social media nonstop. Dead silence from the board and zero accountability from the manager on our second darkest day as a club. This dithering nonsense is infuriating.

Neville seems sure he's not getting sacked until end of the season. I reckon he's right too, such a joke. Ole will never walk either, he's in this for himself and nothing more.
As much as I want him gone, I worry that without something oven-ready being in place, we could end up in a worse position than we already are if he's sacked immediately.

When City beat us 6-1 were they singing SAF must stay? If we beat pool 5-0 today would we be singing Klopp In.

Everyone in football knows what our problem is.

We will be just as generous with Spurs and give them plenty of opportunities to win, but I don’t think they’ll take them. I watched them against West ham earlier and they were diabolical. Their fans by and large want Nuno gone already.

If Ole survives this week, we’ll beat Spurs in a week’s time.

Just pull the bandaid straight off, there's no point delaying it now. He's a good guy and a legend but there's no going back.

Why keep him any longer? You're just going to give the next manager an even harder job, cut him loose now and let's salvage this. We have the players, we just need a tactician.

He should go. Cavani the super sub, Sancho sat on the bench, Shaw and Maguire car crash season. This game, CL, Leicester, Everton...

Can't agree with that. Ole is sinking here, along with the players. Any change will be good now, even if temporarily. Ole will lose the players soon and we won't make top 4.

If this club had any ambition he would have been sacked after the Europa League final.

No matter how bad the results get the only way he gets sacked now is if we miss out on the top four.

He most likely won't be sacked any time soon...Question is if he's lost the players or not. Even if he hasn't, him and the rest of the coach team HAS to get more balance in the team and not at least better tactics. I'm sure we can still win matches, but we'll keep struggling against alot of these teams that has a better structure and manager than us. Even top 4 will be hard the way we play.

Honestly, there have been so many points in his tenure where a sacking was justified. The latest should've been after losing the final to Villarreal, but, yeah, that Everton game was shocking. Mainly because instead of pinning Everton back, trying to get a winner, we were the ones holding on and, truthfully, Everton should've won with the chance Davies(?) had at the end.

Crazy to think that, with this squad, we've only convincingly outplayed one team this season, and it was the first game we played!

How is he still in a job? What will it take? How much more humiliation is this tenure going to give us?

Another thing, people think Ronaldo will accept this nonsense all season.

Ole is going, so get it done.

I think he'll be gone tomorrow and his defensive coaching staff need to go too. A good manager should be able to get far more out of this rabble.

I'm not sure these players are the type to chuck it, but we'll see.

My guess is that after this historic thrashing, we'll revert back to United circa Spring 2020 and predominantly play on the break. We aren't getting much from City or Chelsea, but I think we can potentially keep pace with the likes of Spurs and Leicester (ie in the mix for 4th).
We no longer have the work rate for that mate unless of course if he drops Ronaldo and others. It's too far gone and by the time this board wakes up the season would have passed us by. And people wonder how clubs have overtaken us, why wouldn't they when we are always willing to write off whole seasons due to optics and the aversion to paying severance packages?

I don't think it is (or at least not in the title challenge sense). There's nobody we could bring in right now, part way through the season, who would elevate us to the level of City/Chelsea/Liverpool. 4th place and getting out the CL group now have to be the targets.

The only way he will get sacked is if Ronaldo demands it and I don't think he will

If he liked the club as much as people claims he would resign but I suspect it's going to come to him being sacked, perhaps at the end of the season unless he keeps getting trashing after trashing.

My prediction was the 7th of Nov, we play City on the 6th.

That's one thrashing down, two possible to go. City Chelsea coming next and who knows Spurs, Son and Kane could expose us inbetween. If the club is considering it though I think they'll want someone lined up. I don't see them having Carrick or McKenna in for a week or two so could be a little longer if we get some more thrashings in the next two weeks.

We can no longer go on like this, he's struggling to see players that shouldn't be playing like Harry Maguire or sees it but makes the wrong decisions to play him. Ole makes too many wrong decisions in setup and other aspects to even have a chance, there's no learning with him in a timely fashion. Harry should've been off at half time vs Leicester minimum but still plays. Non of that helped him or us today,
