Haven't been a Ole in or out like some on here but I can't see any way back for him after that result today against biggest rival at home.

Yes last season had a similar result with Spurs winning 6-1 in Old Trafford but that result had the excuse of United having little or no pre season coming into that match and Martial seeing Red early in the game.

Today was a total shambles, the players was embarrassment to themselves and that crest they wore today, the lack of effort was something else with zero reaction. A new manager shall be arriving shortly and good luck to whoever takes over this group of flaky players

Have witnessed Moyes, LVG, Mourinho. This man has genuinely frightened me of watching games. I quickly turned on the game today without knowing the result and saw 0-4 in the first half. He has embarrassed the club to heights which has never been seen.

I can't believe what I'm reading ? WTF ?
Well CHANGE something to improve the results then you prick.

4-2-3-1 day in, day out. Nothing ever fecking changes apart from who's gonna play in the double pivot next game.

Pro tip: They are ALL fecking useless in the double pivot, Ole. ALL.

Since Ole-inners are probably having even tougher time than the rest of us, I prepared a list of excuses for Ole/reasons for him to stay for them so that they can pick and choose them freely:

1. If Bruno scored the first chance we would win.
2. We were just unlucky and did not finish chances but Liverpool did.
3. Players let Ole down.
4. Fergie lost 1-6 and 0-5 two times. See, Ole is just like him.
5. Fergie was also not as good tactically as in other field. See, Ole is just like him.
6. We persisted with Fergie and hit jackpot - might hit it again. Because Ole is just like him.
7. Ole did wonders to finish 2nd with such a shit squad. Also, he assembled a great squad.
8. Only 3 points from top4 after just 9 games. No reason to panic.
9. Ole assembled a great squad, identifying Ronaldo, Varane, Cavani and Sancho was a stroke of genius. But shame that board forced the likes of VdB on him.
10. Ole himself cleared a lot of deadwood. Shame the board fought against him and extended Grant, Mata, Jones, Pereira and Bailly contracts.
11. We are top of the group in CL.
12. Great comebacks! Would have done one against Liverpool if not for Ronaldo's offside.
13. A caretaker would only make things worse. If he does not have "United DNA" of course.
14. Changing the mangers is only United Way if an existing manager does not have United DNA and the new one does. Since Ole does have it, no reason to change.
14. Ole plays lots of young players in a united way. Greenwood, Greenwood, Greenwood, Greenwood and Greenwood! And also Amad played once.
15. Ole did great against big teams two years ago.
16. Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City were in perpetual crisis over the last many years. This year Ole was ready to take the title but very unluckily they all started to be great all at once. He cannot be expected to compete with them.
17. Varane was injured. Ole spent only 130m on the remaining defense. So he cannot be held accountable for defense performances. Have you seen Pep's spending on defense?!
18. The atmosphere is great, the boyzzz are buzzing. No other coach could possibly replicate it, even if he wins trophies.
19. Klopp also started slowly at Liverpool. It is a process, a transition. It is not finished, we went too far to break it. Ole needs another 3-4 world class players before he can be judged.
20. Ole cannot be expected to make top4 let alone challenge the title without signing a DM. It is obvious that the board banned him from doing so over the last 3 years.

Just needs to sign Rice right?

We need a much better manager for these players like yesterday.

Here's the video. Zero conviction in his words. A defeated man.

Sad. He doesn't even look like he wants to go into the dressing room and rip out spines and smack people around the head with them.

He should be genuinly appalled, horrified and about to go on the war path but instead he's answering questions pretty much like he does any other time.

If the board doesn't sack him after this loss, then its gonna send a very wrong message. You cannot allow such results as big clubs. Ole would have his managerial head chopped off at any big club. Scratch that, not even a big club but a decent club.

What makes me sad is that we could have gotten rid of these incompetent bastards if we actually put more pressure on them instead of giving up with the gold campaign after they brought some shiny new toys in... and now we're right back to square one. feckers living comfortably in Los Angeles, or whatever they live in, don't know a single thing about football or even know who Liverpool are and obviously only care about the share dividends they'd get. It's so frustrating to watch.

Liverpool fans were singing Ole's at the Wheel (that fecking song will haunt us for years to come) that's all the evidence you need to sack him.
It'll be ringing around Anfield/OT for years during these games

I think some of you are a little naive expecting him to resign or be sacked tonight. For starters, he's never going to resign after recently signing a lucrative three year deal for what's his dream job. As for being sacked, correct me if I'm wrong but its very rare for managers to be sacked on the eve of a bad result, it usually happens the following weekday morning.

I'd be disappointed if he weren't sacked tomorrow like many of us here, but I don't understand posters acting surprised or aghast at the fact he wasn't gone the moment the final whistle blew.

Think a lot will be looking at McCarthy being sacked at Cardiff after the game yesterday.

It does happen I'm sure, but its quite rare. Even trigger happy owners like Roman usually wait a day or two before putting their managers out of their misery. And lets not forget this Manchester "until its mathematically impossible" United PLC we're talking about. We're notoriously slow and tend to dither when it comes to decisions like this. Joel Glazer's probably too busy massaging Tom Brady's shoulders or preparing that Indian cricket team's takeover before he starts to consider United's state of affairs.

You missed the most important one. Pogba was the reason why lost. He got caught in possession and then got himself sent off. Otherwise the come back was on.

Very true. They usually want to discuss the compensation package. Then you get leaving by mutual consent announcement. If we drop right down the table he might start sh*ting himself.

The ones with ambition want to win things. That then leaves you with the past their sell buy date ones who just want a big pay day. We have a few of them in midfield already.
This team hasn't won anything of significance for the better part of a decade now and it's had no problem attracting real talent. I'm not really concerned about the club's ability to buy high-level players to address their problems; I'm much more concerned with the manager's ability to properly use those players.

That's what I was getting at. Ole bought Donny, doesn't know what the hell to do with him. Bought Sacho, has he seen how he played for Dortmund, does not know what to to do with him. Plays two DM's (neither of which are DM's) to supposedly help the defence. Well that is going well. Doesn't change formation, when he does eventually makes subs it more often than not is like for like. He wants Declan Rice, I would like Declan Rice, the way things are going he would be better off staying at West Ham.

We’re really not gonna look back and wonder what if we’d kept ole. Absolutely horrendous today. We’ve been pumped by rivals before and will continue to do so, but at least there was title races under Fergie and trophies under Jose. We’ve got our best squad since Fergie (probably better on paper than the last title winning side too) yet there feels like there’s absolutely no hope for the season already. And tbh I had that feeling before today as well.
Get rid and bring someone in who’s able to galvanise and play a brand of bloody football.

Every time I remember his die hard defenders were slaughtering the board because they didn't pay 120m for Sancho last summer and treated this as some sort of the board not backing Ole and a big excuse for any failure, I just laugh my arse off.

The mind-boggling thing is we've only just given Ole and the coaches brand new contracts.

Is there any limit to the staggering incompetence of this board? Not a single football braincell between them.

When he said "I have come too far", he summed it up. He's won the fecking lottery. He'll never get a position at another top club, or even close to it, so he'll hang on for as long as he can.

I'm actually starting to despise him, and that saddens me, but this is the guy who wasn't supposed to be the one who puts the club above himself. He's now basically holding the club hostage.

His comments about coming too far and being too close are ridiculous when it's obvious how miles away we are

This thrashing has been coming, a lot were fearing it. The CL games shown the next team to come here with some better strikers will fill their boots and they did just that. We're lucky to come away with two wins, those away trips to Atalanta and Villarreal look very slippery indeed. Looking like another group reversal coming like last year.

If Ole cares about his relationship with the fans- and he clearly does- then he's got one more card to play.

He should call a Press Conference next week and announce that he thinks he's took this club as far as he can and will be stepping down as soon as the club decided on a successor. I can only guess how difficult this is for him. Imagine it? It's the job of his dreams and he's not good enough to do it. If he swallows his pride and stands down then he'll depart a hero. We'll remember him as a brilliant transitional figure. If he doesn't... then he'll go down a sad figure who wasted everyone's time and was waiting for the Glazers to sack him.

Come on Ole. Don't let it end like this.
