Well the last thread with same title was back in 2010 and in United Forum. So a new one in footy forum.

He is coaching Iran team or something now!

Would you welcome him back, maybe as caretaker for rest of season, and possible No.2 for next?

Only in a number 2 capacity.

Hasn't exactly proven to be a top choice number 1. If it's temporary until the end of the season, sure, but not a permanent number 1.

I'm all for him back at United though.

Moyes isn't going anywhere unfortunately and they won't force a number 2 on him.

Do you really believe Queiroz would want to be understudy to Giggs.

Carlos isn't a manager, and wouldn't be any better than Moyes.

However, to take him for a tactical POV, definitely, but I don't see why he would?

It looks to me that is what needs to be done because I'm not sure Moyes tactically is up to scratch. However unlike Fergie he likes being more hands on so not sure whether he'd be willing to give an assistant that much in say in how the team should set up.

Why when it's a United related discussion?

I can only see him coming back in an ass.man role if we brought in an elite, established manager.

No chance he'll be understudy to Moyes, Giggs or any third rate manager.

He's not going to leave "Iran team or something" before the WC.

He's a manager who has had litte success as an actual manager, rather than as a number 2.

We need to move on from the Fergie era, because going down the route of bringing in ex-Fergie followers wont end well. Liverpool hung about for years with that "boot room" mentality which got them nowhere.

Moyes may not be the man to take us forward. But we need to move forwards with whomever in charge - not look backwards.

Not that I disagree with your overall post, but I'd argue Liverpool's decline started after they appointed Souness and got rid of the whole "Boot Room" thing.

His coaching and tactics is miles better than ole, I'd take him as caretaker till the end of season, whereafter we get in ten hag.

However, Egypt signed him as manager for the national team just a month ago.

It was the most organized I have ever seen united, our defensive peak. Not convinced he can be a number 1 though.

Thats why i said caretaker till the end of the season because i dont see ten hag leaving ajax midseason when they're about to win a trophy or two.

Queiroz is a massive upgrade from ole.

However, with Ronaldo and him burning bridge during their Portugal NT tenure, it's very slim possible now.

I'd get him in a coaching role regardless, we need top level coaching.

While I feel for Ole I would be glad to see the back of the coaching staff who have entirely let him down imo. Was probably naive to appoint them with such minimal experience anyway though which is back on Ole.

I think in the future Ole will look back and really regret not getting somebody like Carlos in, somebody to really take the coaching by the horns and let him man management which is his strength. Too late now.

There's a reason why he hasn't managed a top club in over a decade, his methodology isn't in line with how the game is played now, time to move onto someone with knowledge of the modern game and has an adaptable approach. And plenty of vibes and hi 5s.

What's Trap at these days? He'd love that McT/Fred midfield.

Sure lets see what 'Arry and Woy are at too. While were at it. 'Arry would have a field day in the January window.

Kranjcar is only one year older than Ronnie, reckon we'd get a season out of him

We need to move away from ever doing the United DNA again.

It blinds people. Atleast under Jose people called it how it was.

If going for United DNA results in us giving managers much too much slack then it should be avoided

I believe Ron and Queiroz don't get along well. So, no chance he becomes the caretaker
