I'm not the first to say it, but DO NOT buy the elite Series 2 controller.

As much as I love some things about it, this my 3rd one, now and this one has now developed a issue with the RB button occasionally registering as two inputs. And this issue is supposedly common, as well. The build quality on these things is just shocking.

It's not enough of an issue for me to get rid of it, but for the money I expected so much better. If the series 3 has the same build issues, I'm buying a scuff or something

Scuffs are worse build quality. Just send it in under warranty. It's the best controller on the market.

Have you spoken to Amazon? They're good with returns. You should have bought it from Microsoft though, as advised at the time. The newer ones are better built.
The problem with amazon is that this is my 3rd controller with them. The other two had issues, as well. They may well think I'm taking the piss.

I'm pretty sure I got it at amazon because it had like £50 off. And it turned out that MS only sell the 3 year warranty if you buy the controller from them directly. With hindsight I should have done that. But I didn't know that 1 out of every 2 controllers have issues.

Fair enough. Worth speaking to them anyway mate. Try and get full refund and get one from MS or get something else. Check out Razr's controller too. No idea what it's like but it looks good.

Avengers and Back4Blood offer up some good mindless 4 player co op fun

Another 2 added to the huge list of games we've played as a group this year.

It's not often talked about but the multiplayer element of gamepass is class. 2 subscriptions between 4 of us all taking advantage of the 3 year £120 deal (so 60 each) for 3 years of all being able to access tons of top co op games, with more added every month or two and not needing to further dip in our pockets or convince everybody to buy the same game.

I have a Razer Wolverine and it's all good so far. My only gripe would be no extra tall right thumb stick.

Yeah this week has basically been a week of four gamepass games for me. I'm trying to get through Eastshade before it leaves GP, it's kind of like a Skyrim mod where you're a painter and just going round helping people. It's really nice! The world is lush and it's a nice change of pace. When I've finished that hopefully I can ay throught The Artful Escape and The Forgotten City before Forza hits.

Multiplayer wise this week has been all about Back 4 Blood, Sea of Thieves and Gang Beasts.

B4B is pretty decent, I can't see myself and my friends playing through it after competing the campaign, but it has provided a nice diversion.

SoT continues to be a fun game to play with friends, from sinking the Level 5 reaper Galleon that was stalking us, to completing various treasuries and Shrines, it continues to be a fairly unique experience.

Gang Beasts is just massively stupid fun, with the massive caveat of "when it works". I can't understand how that got released with 8 player when you can't party up with more than 3 without using a workaround, and more than 5 plain won't work. That said five of us online last night had an absolute ball.

Yeah, the elite has one tall thumb stick and I hated it! I could not get used to it, at all.

I've looked at a guide online and I might try and fix it myself.

The elite has pissed me off so much if I get a fancy controller again I'm going to go for a scuff or a Razer. Anything that doesn't fall apart, hopefully.

I played with a KontrolFreek right thumb stick before I got my new controller, it takes a while to get used to alright, but when you do, your aim is miles better on FPS games. Definitely worth being shit for a while to do it.

It was more the ‘it never gets talked about’ despite it being all you talk about…
That specific element of it though is underrated.

For groups of mates who game together, it's perfect.

It would be wasted on @esmufc07 still waiting 6 months later for him to play a game of apex, he doesn't like friends.

He plays it every single day he's just embarrassed by how bad he is. Let the poor lad practise.

Looks so good!
This is amazing. Forza Horizon is basically the reason why I bought Xbox in the first place so I can get prepared to spend hundreds of hours on this. The week of 8 Nov is going to be something else with this and GTA coming out.

Forza Horizon 5, Football Manager 22, Skyrim Anniversary edition and GTA San Andreas are all coming to Game Pass in the same week

Young'un has decided he wants an Xbox series X for his birthday in 16 days. How regular are the stock drops now?
Really hard to get a hold of. I’m still trying to get one after several months of trying.

Honestly might have to be an I owe you

I preordered the Halo Limited edition Elite controller. Given the horrible reviews of its reliability I probably won’t take it out the box and I’ll just sell it when it’s value is stupid

San Andreas took me by surprise, I was going to get the Trilogy for Switch and I probably still will but will be good to try it out on X first.

Plus Age of Empires IV, Minecraft and Evil Genius 2 the weeks surrounding it on PC. It's a pretty good few weeks for Game Pass.
