He's been a red card waiting to happen for a while, that isn't the first time he's lunged into a tackle like that, he does it almost every game he's played, it's just that the previous times he's got the ball.

Was he the worst today, no. Was he the reason we lost, no. Was he shit for 15 mins and got sent off? Yes. He was the cherry on a shit gateaux. Not one single person associated with Utd can come out of that game with an ounce of credit. I hope every single person, players, coaches, Ole, the board, everyone is fecking embarrassed today. Pogba included. It was a disgrace from start to finish from every single one of them.

There were 2 men on him and no passing options/lines. The possession lost was on halfway and there should have been plenty of cover before a goal was scored. This was a collective issue.
So in that scenario what do you do? Boot it away or try to beat three on the halfway line?

I'm a bit baffled here. That wasn't a tackle from someone not giving a toss. I generally don't like his playing style or entitled attitude of thinking people dare not close him down. I never wanted him here, thought there are better organic options for us out there.
This opinion of mine is not isolated to only in our squad. Of all the signings since Jose, Sancho, Cavani and VDB are the only ones that look right.
Though that being said on average in his games on the left for us, he has been our best and most influential player. I'll take those performances anyday but we all want our flair players there and him in CM. Huh
That left mid position is his best. At Juve he was never Central Central, always slight more attacking left leaning of. The fact he wants to play CM at club because he does it for France makes no sense. Different set of players and tempo to club.

I get that he was frustrated, but that was incredibly unprofessional from him and a really nasty challenge

Now to be fair, i fully get that he lost faith in Ole and i get that he did not get along with Jose who's a twat, but this is the second manager hes stopped playing for now, and thats an issue no matter how you spin it.

Great player on his day, but his attitude stinks and there is just so much drama with him

I have flip flopped on what to do with him, but it's pretty obvious now. Get rid and enjoy Madrid.

Yeah, the ball shouldn't have gone to him.
The knock down from Fred showed a complete lack of awareness. That ball should have been swung out to Shaw at left. Because Shaw had moved up he was completely taken out of the game by the pass from Henderson.

The frenzy in a thread for a man who played 15 minutes could really only happen on RedCafe.

The above sums it up nicely.

He doesn't give a shit
He never has. That's the problem. Most over rated player in world football. What good is it having the ability he has when he turns up 5 times a season.

Can't wait to see the back of him.

Scholesy was spot on after the Atalanta game but is way off the mark here imo. The guy comes on at half time when we're 4-0 down, makes a stupid clumsy challenge, but asking for him to never play for United again is an overreaction. Heck, Ronaldo could've been sent off yesterday for kicking about but just got a yellow. Focusing on Paul Pogba after the game in which we were 4 goals down without him on 45mins is just avoiding the issue which is that our backline and Mcfred have been utter shite.

I was talking about the amount of posts given his limited action in the game, but this is the pogba thread afterall so I’m not surprised by the wilful ignorance. As you were. . .

No he came on and gave a goal away and then got a red card, smiling as he walked off.

Stop making excuses for him. This player has flopped under two managers now. Maybe just maybe this lazy git is the problem eh? Or certainly one of them as it's unfair to say he's the only problem as that's clearly not true.

Sooner he leaves the better.

For us? Doubtful.

We've done this dance before. Player X is the problem, once he leaves we'll be better, etc. Hasn't really worked out that well. Pogba will just be the latest in a long list of them, with Ronaldo soon to replace him.

Imagine having more to say about Pogba’s role in the 5th goal of a drubbing than our starting midfields role in first halves versus Atalanta & Pool. Never change Redcafe, never change

Also a bit rich Scholes having a go at him for a reckless tackle.

I’m in awe of Peak Pogba, but it’s anti e’s guess as to when he’s in the mood for a football match. Of course Ole should have started him, but there’s no excuse for his performance v Liverpool. Given all things, it’s best to let him walk. Yes, again.

Call me crazy but I think his red card is what made Liverpool stop the humiliation, before it they were meant to score plenty more.

Only after Pogba's entrance the though about injuries crossed their minds. Sad to say it but 0-5 was pretty cheap for the game and if not for Pogba I think it would had been worse.

You are crazy.
Pool had stopped trying too hard after 0-5, because they didn't want to waste anymore energy and Klopp was not looking for some kind of silly scoreline to humiliate. He didn't push his team for that. They had made their point.
Keita's injury meant Klopp had a bigger injury list to deal with, after losing Milner in first half, and it made sense not to have his players strain anymore.

So you are giving me the reason, Keita's injury was another reason for Liverpool to stop. Which was caused by Pogba.

Look I'm not justifying the action, it was foolish and put Keita's health clearly in risk. But I do stand by my point that if not for that it would had been worse.

So you are now accusing Pogba of deliberately causing harm to an opposition player. Don't give Souness new ideas.
