Zidane. By all accounts he doesn't like England, English football and is waiting for a job he actually wants.
Zidane would be the perfect interim. If he's here for the season, it would only be a few months 'till after the world cup when his dream job becomes available.

You can't hate the club, over not sacking a manager. The club is bigger than that, just gonna have to stick with it now and ride this out and see where it goes.

Look at it this way, whatever way it goes, there's going to be an end to this mood soon.

We get a rocket up the ass and we start actually playing well and everyone is happy and we climb the table.

Or

We lose a few more matches and Ole inevitably gets the sack.

It can't and won't go on like this until the end of the season.

No thanks, we‘ve had enough of false dawns. I would sack him even if he wins the next 3 games.

He can win the next 10 games in a row, he has to go. We're never winning with him. This is the worst result in United's history by far. It is an automatic sacking offence at any top club, especially when said manager has zero credit to his name in terms of trophies or past success.

Kean was buddies with the Indian owners, wasn't he? I remember something about him and his agent being connected to the Blackburn takeover back then.
There were certainly a shit load of rumours about all sorts, at the time. I remember for months, he was at risk of being sacked but he just kept hanging on

Fab going LIVE if anyone has the time to watch it
Utd didn't go for Poch even though they wanted him because OGS "was doing well" so they "couldn't" sack him. Not considering Ten Hag because of lack of top level of experience (Moyes trauma) and they care about getting a "big name".

As I read it, Ole will be replaced anyway after next 3 matches. But if there is a loss then the action will be expedited.

I could be totally wrong though.

Horseshit. This was said here, we are just 1 points below the top, then three points, then Liverpool happened.

We have only 14 points in 9 matches. The only really good team we played was Liverpool, and we had the worst defeat against them in more than a hundred years. We have yet to play Spurs, City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

In UCL, we have to play Atalanta and Villareal away, two teams that arguably should have won the match in OT (in case of Villareal, there is not much to argue about that).

It is fecking depressing, worse than it has ever been since Fergie left.
And I totally agree, I'm also on the "change the manager" bandwagon. We need people with more scientific knowledge and less empirical. I had formed that opinion based on the second half of last season, where our football was too dependent on individual efforts, and we clearly lacked attacking and defending patterns.
Unfortunately, the board doesn't think the same.

I really hope the board don't think like this, we're currently closer to 17th placed Leeds than we are the top... with Spurs, City, Arsenal and Chelsea in our next five games
The problem is that our fears are being confirmed: despite our downward spiral in terms of football quality since last season the board is clearly not placing a staff change in their priorities. In fact they promised Ole more transfer funds for January.

Ole should be asked to take different role at Utd as the feeling throughout the club has changed since he's been there.
Perhaps moved upstairs or in charge of getting in the youngsters.
Next manager? Rodgers or Psg manager.
Conte doesn't seem to fit but might win us something.

I support not rushing the decision to sack him. They clearly have no plan.
What I do not support is that this club really did not countenance the notion that Ole was not the man and did not plan adequately.
They clearly have no replacement in mind and are just running helter skelter.

There is a lot of heat on Ole at the moment, and rightfully so.

What Ole cannot be blamed for though, is the players completely downing tools on Sunday.
That was absolutely disgusting from the players that represent Manchester United.

Never in my life have I seen footballer's at the highest level just give up.
They should be ashamed of themselves.

The result was half expected (which says a lot in itself).

The complete lack of effort from the players was a lot more disappointing than the score.

So what if he wins the next 3 and then loses the 3 after that? It's absurd how indecisive the board is. They know he's not good enough, the players know he's not good enough, and the fans know he's not good enough. They just don't want to pay out after their idiotic decision to give him a 3 year contract extension.

Makes no fecking sense. Watford were more decisive in their decision than us. The man had a 5-0 defeat no one is never ever gonna forget vs Liverpool and the club keeps him...

I like the idea of him having some sort of role behind the scenes. Not sure if feasible now but every day that passes now reduces the chance of that ever happening.

If the bar is to win the next 3 games, I fully support the players scoring own goals and losing. Though with Clueless McClueless incharge, we won't have to help the opposition much.

This is an awful situation for the players and the manager to be in now, I hope they can build some bridges over the next few days. And please please please let's see something different at the weekend, a formation change and some squad rotation ffs.

This season had so much promise over the summer with our signings, now the league is a total write-off already and it's still only October.

Ole is lucky the players gave up, because Liverpool were happy to calmly see the game out and not go for another ten goals.

The individual performances were predictable giving Ole's favorites have been awful for a very long time. The only difference was this was the first world class team we've faced this season.

If the players looked any worse at all it was because of Ole's questionable instructions and tactics.

Genuine question for us Manchester United fans:

Which scenario would you prefer?

1) Liverpool being responsible for the contract terminations of successive Manchester United manager's

or

2) Ole having his services dispensed with after a match against any other team

...I would rather not put the icing on the cake for them.

Most Liverpool fans will be heartbroken to see Ole go.

Club is run by clueless morons. Great manager that he was, reports that Fergie supports Ole show just how backwards looking and nostalgic club has become. This is the guy that chose Moyes, despite Gill telling everyone the club had learnt from past succession issues and had a plan (he clearly lied). The Europa final should have been curtains, a spineless display and gutless management. Then we have the lucky comebacks this season before the inevitable hiding. Players clearly losing faith. Chelsea show what decisive decision making by an owner who wants to win trophies can achieve.

Why ? Why should he stay at the club's hierarchy ?
It's feckin bizarre. It's like our fans can't let go of him. He failed. There's other highly competent world class professionals in the world. But we want to stick with ex footballers as if that's a qualification.

I wish this whole club and its fanbase could completely let go of nostalgia and the doe eyed looking on our ex players and create some new direction.

Bloody Hell, no one wants us (apart from Conte, which is a disaster waiting to happen in my opinion sure he would win us titles but he would rip apart the culture of the club, that Ole has done so well to bring back)
