Is there any way any of us can look forward to Saturday, Nov 6?

As good as Liverpool are, I rate City higher. We've just hosted the former and witnessed humiliation at the highest. The signals we're getting at present from the media are the board are sticking with OGS. As it stands now I'm expecting a scoreline somewhere between 0-5 to 0-8. Pessimist or realist?

It’s derby day.

These are the games every football fan should look forward to. If you don’t, irrelevant of form or gulf in class, I’d suggest you stop watching football.

I am sort of looking forward to our line-ups and formation in the up coming games. Ole said previously something had to give but hopefully this time it is true and he tries something else.

Not particularly. I’m fully expecting us to play 5-3-2, to try and stink the place out and play for a draw. I’m thinking even worse than the derby at OT last season.

I'm less concerned about that than the Atalanta game.

Being hammered by City would suck, but hardly worse than that Liverpool result did, we'd have the prospect of a new manager on the horizon and it would ultimately still be just three points dropped. Plus who knows, we might get an improbable result.

If we were to lose to Atalanta though then we risk having no CL football in the first half of '22, which would kill one of the main things we'd have to look forward to if a new manager is in place by February.

Honestly I don’t look forward to any game right now but it would be somewhat unprecedented if we were to get smashed again.

The head says we can’t possibly be that bad and naive again, but we are at a low point and it’s hard to be positive. Either way you watch through thick and thin, it makes the good times all the more sweeter.

Well at 1.30pm it will be half way through the battering for me so just another 45 to endure.

We've got a decent record against City, Liverpool have spanked us a few times recently.

I really don't know what to expect to be honest. I can see things getting worse sooner than better though.

No point worrying about it. Easy to kick the club when it's down, as so many are, but it's only a football match.

It's in Man Utd's DNA, we shall go out to attack and dominate opponent every match we play to win. Bring it on, City.

But seriously, anything less than 5-0 defeat is an improvement.

I'm looking forward to a derby game and what's going to happen with the team going forward. Something has to give with the squad setup and formation, it has to.

But more than anything I'm looking forward to hearing Old Trafford being loud, there is no sound like it.

Of course he'll I think. It'll be his last chance, if he manages to get it.

I'm looking forward to this Saturday when each set of players will end up scoring own goals to see who can get their manager sacked quicker.

Yes, I am looking forward to how our new manager will do against the champions.

We will have a new manager by then, right? Right?

If Ole and his crew are somehow gone by then, I might suddenly look forward to it. Otherwise not at all.

Looking at the way Tuchel managed to completely transform Chelsea in a matter of days, I think something similar could happen if we brought in a coach like Conte. Obviously nothing will happen before the international break, though.

My City supporting relatives (only two of them) have predictably been gloating since Sunday, but they are now winding me up by saying they have heard the club is thinking of hiring Platt Field Park for a 'Blue Moon' -Ten up against United' celebration bash on the 7th Nov in anticipation of scoring ten goals against the same team Ole put out against Liverpool..... they are convinced he will do that!!!!

Apparently there will be a special closed-off section for disgruntled United fans to wear their sack cloth's and ashes... in safety.:lol:

There is another full week to go...where can I hide???

If Ole will go with the same suicidal tactics as against Liverpool it will be a lot of fun.

I'll look forward to it. Only if it means all these stupid threads stop.

First time I am not depressed if we lose. In fact it's got so bad especially after SAF got involved to save Ole, I want us to lose so we can lance the boil and get rid of the lot of them including the John chap and Fletcher too.

But he won’t though will he?

In every recent season there’s been an odd sense of panic amongst United supporters when the derby is on the horizon.
There’s much angst and gnashing of teeth on display as the most extreme and most pitiful excuses got thrown in early but, the fact remains that, Ole has a great record against Pep.
He plays to your squad’s strengths when he plays City. Always a low block and some hoof ball and, like it or not, it bloody well works and the results prove that.

Well, will he do something different? He is saying that they are so close now, I just wish I knew what he ment by this. Is it just a few tweaks to what he got going or are they lacking a CDM? If they are lacking a CDM then he will have to wait until christmas, and I dont think he will survive that long.

I hope that he will go with either 4-3-3 or 3-5-2, and what he does with his midfield will be the most interesting part for me. Will also keep one eye on how they press, build up play and how they respond when out of possession.

What ever he does, its a match I am really looking forward to.
