Rooney 8 goals 6 assists

Lampard 5 goals 6 assists

Grant Lampard is a midie, Rooney, is statistically the best player right now. Oh yea and he was suspended for three games. :)

Le Awesome.

Rooneys been great since the game against Bolton, maybe even a little before. Not at his best but still very good, his touch is back, and hes gettin better all the time.

Here's the thing...

If he's this good when he's crap and out of form, scary to imagine what'll happen when he's on top of his game.
If I remember correctly, that thunderous volley against Newcastle that he scored for us at Old Trafford was actually when he was injured :D

To be honest, Rooney is nowhere near the form that he is capable of. It's just that even while not being at the top of his game, he's been soo effective and dangerous. He's actually grinding out his own form currently if I may say so.
Wait just a little while this season and if he stays clear of any injuries, watch him win games single handedly, not that he'd need to with the quality we already have in our side currently.

We were magnificent against Bolton and for a string of games were killing it off in the first 20 minutes. We've been magnificent for most of the season apart from the Arsenal and Reading game. This is truely football worthy of champions that we've played so far, whether we win it or not.

It's not that we have not been magnificent. Far from it. Vs Bolton we were white hot brilliant but mainly for the first half.. it's just that vs Fulham for 90 minutues we scored 6, should have had 15 and Niemi was man of the match. When the whole team hits that form again...........................for 90 + minutues..........evey game.......:drool::drool::drool:

I disagree about us being magnificent to be honest. We've just played good and well so far and that's been more than enough to get us where we are.
We've hardly reached the form which we can reach. But trust me, if we do, and when we do this season, it'll be so much worth the wait. We've not hit our peak this season or are not anywhere near it I feel, which makes me feel even better! We haven't hit top gear and we're still up there.
When Scholes, Giggs, Ole, Ronaldo, Rooney, Park are playng those intricate one touch passes in the middle of the field tearing defenses apart at will, and creating chance after chance, then it begins...

I just hope we can carry on playing like we have been, which is slightly been more than enough to get the wins, and then save our best come spring...Watch the last few games of the 2002-2003 campaign, and watch Scholes, Giggs and Ole combine...That was pure football, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle (who weren't as shit at the time) couldn't cope or come anywhere near us.

When we hit top form, then is the time to watch us, completely orgasmic! :D
