He was thrown into two shitshow situations this week. Donny's probably thinking "I need a 10/10 in 10 minutes to have any chance of a start" and Solskjaer's probably thinking "Go on, rescue this. Lets see what all the fuss is about."

These type of minutes do feck all for him. In fact, it'll only reinforce Solskjaer's belief that he shouldn't be played.

The fans were singing his chant while he was warming up and gave him a big cheer when he came on. I think this was an indirect action of showing discontent with the manager. Even the match going fans are running out of patience.

Would be interested to see what Donny goes on to achieve for the rest of his playing career, versus what Ole goes on to achieve for the rest of his managerial career. Future looks brighter for Donny, in my opinion.

If true, that means Donny isn't shite in training. Why would you be sorry for someone not playing if you believed that was rightfully so?
Is Chris Wheeler reputable? He rights for DM but i've seen a lot of references to him here

Wheeler is one of the journos who is present at every press conference involving United and is the Daily Mail's Manchester correspondent.

I'm dissapointed in the staff that PEE teacher auto corrects, yet Daily Fail does not.

We have such a good young team for possession based offensive football.

Rashford - VdB - Bruno - Sancho
The amount of times bruno and Rashford give away the ball im afraid they arent suitable for possession based football

Under a head coach who places a emphasis on possession play, they'd be taught to play a different way rather than shoot on sight.

And let us not forget - Ole blocked his loan to Everton in the summer. And I am sure that he was promised more game time.

Dan James has more minutes for us this season than VDB.

Forget about Dan James. I am shocked to see that Dalot has more minutes than DVB. I wouldn't surprised to see if Phil Jones have more minutes than DVB.

We all love United
The cheers, claps and chants from the crowd when Donny came on was absolutely telling even on my tv. Ole must have heard that and i wonder what was he thinking inside

If Donny isn't starting against Watford I'll be fuming. He will be too and has every right to put in a transfer request.. as a player you can accept not getting in the team if the team is winning and the players ahead of you are doing the business.. but they are not doing the business and the team is losing. That's not fair and he should be banging the managers door down asking why he's not given a chance to play.

same with Sancho who should be starting against Watford

Some Ole quotes on transfers

2019

"I'll always have the final say on transfers. No one comes in the door without me saying yes. It has to be that way, even though signing players is a process involving other members of staff.

"I don't really speak to agents, because I have nothing to do with the money side of it, but the final decision on who becomes a Manchester United player will be mine."

2021
Solskjaer has declared himself satisfied with the new system at Old Trafford.
"I was consulted. It wasn't my decision but I was very supportive of it," he said. "John is easy to communicate with. He knows what I want because we speak freely.
"The club would never buy a player that the manager of Man United didn't want. We do have a process. We've got the scouting and then the analysis, but it is always about the manager's remit.
"All the players who have come in have been identified by every one of us."

I just feel he messed up.

Totally agree with those on here who say he should have told Ole to feck off when called on against City

The support the fans showed him when he came on against city was a direct dig at Ole, Old Trafford lost patience with the manager, they are just not loud enough.

Yeah and won't ever be vocal enough because the hardcore matchgoers don't believe in barracking the manager

Go to 70% of the way through last season, DVB had been consistently involved, if not getting a huge amount of mins, and the general consensus was of disappointment in his level and how ineffectual he had been. Now, his reputation has gone skyward again with demands that he be used. I think people are invariably going to be underwhelmed when he is used, maybe he will turn out to be this unused gem but those Ajax players that were sold have not exactly ripped it up elsewhere.

De Jong is reportedly going to be sold by Barca, probably the most successful, but Barca need the money more than him
De Ligt had a tough time at the start but has been improving at Juve.
Ziyech a rotational player about to leave Chelsea on loan.

All of them, as well as Tadic, were better than Donny for Ajax in that CL run.

Offer Donny to Barca in a part swap for De Jong and Utd would have a much more useful player for what we need, someone who can control the game from deep. Donny is not that guy.

De Jong would be mad to come to Utd after seeing what's happened to VDB.

Understandable why he would think that way, but he would go straight into the team and be one of our best players. Just a much better player than Donny.
