Don’t know what the commentators are on about saying the goal has affected the game, feels like it has more intensity to it after the goal.

Fake? Doesn’t matter who injuried him. He was stampen on the foot.
Let him stand on one foot then and save his goal if he needs to. Pathetic. He should be off on a stretcher if he couldnt do more than what he did.

Unfortunately, his playing style needs players like Fred who run a lot. The rest of our team is so low effort and lazy that there is simply no dropping Fred no matter how much of a calamity merchant he is.
Donny can run just as much, easily.

He wasn't injured, he was exaggerating contact because he thought their player stepped. He does it all the time as do all footballers... he was made to look like an idiot now. fecking brace through the pain and don't be a little bitch about it.
    How do you know this?

Look at the footage, he stood on his achilles. Thought you'd be more rational than to jump to conclusions.
It was his ankle though from what I saw? If it was his achilles, yeah it’s sore, but he could have easily saved it even with a sore achilles. Play to the whistle, no?

There's 70 minutes to go, have you given up already?
Well I'm thinking these games against Arteta's arse are normally very low scoring aren't they? We're also second best all over the pitch and shaky at the back.

I'm still hoping for a goal or two obviously so yeah probably a bit early for that

It’s a legitimate goal but you hope for a little bit of class in those situations where people see what happens and don’t want to score with the keeper injured on the floor.

then you realise it’s Arsenal and they actually celebrated

Frankly deserved for a slew of reasons. Suddenly Dave is okay? Come on, sack up.
He had to lie on the floor longer In order to be less embarrassed. We all know he should have manned up from the start and not gone down because his ankle got clipped. Play through the pain boys.

I have extreme respect for players who don't go down shouting and rolling from any contact. Toughness is way too rare in this sport. Also, trying to influence referee decisions with acting is so pathetic.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Now I'd feel hard done by if I were United. What a cluster feck by Atkinson.
In the replay you can see he wags his finger at the Arsenal player to say "no".

But he saw ddg down, put the whistle to his mouth, paused until in THEN blew...

Unlike us v Southampton when he blew before the ball crossed the line so rules it out.

We've played some more football this season and last, but we do get some calls that don't balance out.

Remember we played Liverpool at old Trafford back in, I think, 2012-13 (or the year before) Reina was down injured and the ref let them attack with the ball while he was treated on the pitch. Once we won the ball back he stopped play

Stop moaning lads, goal all day. That’s on de gea and if it was the other way around we’d be fuming if it was chalked off. Maybe we could just be better at football and stop whinging about the ref every week…

Did Fred turn his back to the ball and pretend play was stopped?
No he managed to nearly tear off the back of his own goalkeeper's foot with cleats. De Gea is human, not made of steel. Unfortunately being made of flesh, he can feel unbearable pain.

The CL is a glorified FA Cup set to music
    Supports
    orderly disembarking on planes
He stepped on his toe, that doesn't make someone fall and roll around. De Gea is very clearly fine. He could've braved the pain.
He stepped on the back of his heel. As much as I'm grinning at how ridiculous the whole situation looked, that fecking hurts, especially with studs!!

    1. the call was absolutely correct
    2. De Gea had no business falling down and flailing like that whether that was an Arsenal player that got him or not. Responsible for the goal
3.Fred is Ali Dia level of bad.

Wtf is this team? McTominay and Dalot win the ball back, and instead of having a quick break we all just stand there ponderously, you could hear the crowd roar as if to say what are you doing go for it!

When the midfielders have the ball in Arsenal's half they're having to half turn and then end up passing it backwards or send it way deep. Why is no one coming short for 1-2s?

Anyone noticed we’re now pressing in 3s, not perfect, but it looks like that’s what the players are trying to do. Wonder if Rangnick’s been on the training ground, I know wp only granted today but no reason why he can’t go there and give his tactical input.

They have gone from Solskjaer to others. How anyone can’t see that he got stamped on is beyond me. Shocking decision
It was a minor bit of contact, the fact is he left the goal completely unguarded

We can’t cross from set pieces. We can’t cross from the run of play.

    We can’t cross.
